most people who go with rr are badge chasers at least from what I have seen, in their eyes a range rover > bmw, that’s a good deal for the x5m though, definitely drives like a little higher sports car, great suv to daily too since few will know you have enough horsepower to smack v8 mustangs, challenger’s and camaro’s like it’s nobody’s business.
To be honest that’s an outgoing model x5m will be replaced with all the new tech and body. That’s why I would choose a RR over it. I don’t think they are badge chasers. If you ever get in a Range Rover they are priced corrrectly that’s why they don’t give discounts. Just my 2 cents. The engine in the x5m is nice though.
the SUV is very fast and it It will beat V8 challengers, but not V8 mustangs or camaros anymore
it will do 0-60 in 3.8, it will walk a camaro ss, mustang gt and even a scat pack from a red light. Thats what I meant by v8 muscle cars, it’s obviously gonna get spanked by a shelby, a zl1 and the hellcat. On a highway it might get beat by all 3 of them.
The 5.0 and SS are both high 11 second cars. The x5m is a low 12 second car. That’s a very large difference at those already fast times over just 1320 feet.
1/4 mile is a long distance in the city, most stop light to stop light drag races hit max 50-60, but you would be correct, also the challenger scat pack is an 11 second car too.
I dont think they are priced right at all, the lease on an 80k truck will be way over 1k. and their. tech sucks the industry joke about RR is when. you buy one its your second truck because the town truck is your 1st. We have been seeing them breaking down a lot lately with dangerous malfunctions. however ride quality is. superior and brand is very well developed.
and your right about he outgoing model. however it will be at least 1-2 years if not more until you see a production X5M
True, to 60 in real world conditions it would always have the upper hand
Range rovers are straight trash. They look good, but thats it. They have the name so when you say “its in the shop for the third time this month” everyone will just say “well you know its an range rover” and laugh it off like its ok.
How is that ok. If i brought a friend to a party and he started stabbing people i wouldnt be like “oh thats just nick its what he does” and laugh it off
people do funny things for a badge, is a cla really a mercedes?
While I don’t have a pic anymore, back in 04’ had a buddy at JLR send a picture of a cancelled order on a XJ in Pink. Custom ordered, then walked on the deal. At the time Maybach dealers were configuring some horrendous looking cars and we had numerous cancellations with no takers. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
You are the one who always bashes CVT’s!
Now when I say that it is not a good option for this SUV…you start talking about gearing etc.
Quarter trap speeds are generally a great indicator of passing times, and the Ascent isn’t doing too well.
Do you just always want to say anything, but opposite to what I say?
My whole point to OP - consider XC90. That was it😊 People asked why, I said why.
I signed a lease on a 2019 X6 few days ago. Got 12% off MSRP. Debating on pulling the trigger on 2019 X3 (for my sister) - the incentives aren’t there for this car in February. They offered me the same 12% on the X3. That’s why I was curious about March numbers
Hi everyone, I can help as much as i can for honda lease deals.
Wish I could find these deals closer in the west coast.
This free charging of electric cars will be going away soon, they just wanted to tease you with free charging. Now that the masses are buying them they will start charging like they did at all Tesla charging stations…soon youll be paying just as much to charge a car as you would be paying to fill.yoir car up with gas. KWH charges will only be increasing in the years to come !
Buying an EV won’t make sense anymore if that happens.
And gas prices only go down, right?
Where do people come up with this stuff?
As if people buy electric cars just to save on gas??? - there is so much more to it…Regardless of the naysayers its the future of the automotive industry.
