The yoke is only on the Model S, both Plaid and long range.

I thought the lease contract didn’t allow buy outs? Or just thinking of transferring out?

I think I might pull the trigger on this, I spoke to their rep yesterday and they said that my monthly payment after trade in for 72 mos finance would be $565, my trade in is worth $8052
Monthly including taxes in NY - $565
Sales taxes came out to - $3886
NY fees $198
Credit -$2000
I am hoping these cards do not lose much value within the next 3 years.
Let me know what you guys think about the above quote

Love the model Y but its up there as far as monthly cost
Throwing mine up here. Insane torque on the m3p. Also can’t rave enough about how it handles as a daily driver.

You do realize that you are taking an unrepairable car on a 72 month finance right? And please don’t give me the battery is covered, there is plenty of things to break, and no one to fix any of it. Since you are saying Y is too expensive for you, I’m going to assume that you cannot afford to piss random amount of money away, therefore hoping that these cars are going to not lose value in the next 3 years is a bit of a gamble, and if you get stuck driving it for longer, see my repairability comment.

Hyperbole, but the repair network isn’t as mature as established automakers. There are some horror stories, but it’s usually excessive delays.
I’d apply @njc ’s comment to any stretch financial purchase. A BMW may be fixable outside the warranty period, but doesn’t mean it’s affordable to someone stretching to make the payments in the first place.
Not so much of a hyperbole really. I can take any car to virtually any mechanic and get it going to some extent or other. Can you even buy Tesla parts yet or are you stuck with their repair network that can’t keep up with in warranty cars
I’m not aware of a large segment of Tesla owners whose cars are unusable due to inability to repair. Granted I haven’t explicitly looked, but it’s one of those things we’d all hear about through many sources if it was widely happening.
There are no old model 3 and y yet. The “tent” cars couldn’t be bought out. There is every indication that this is a giant mess in the making. We can review this thread ina few years
Lots of public reporting on repair delays and issues. As long as they don’t need a body shop, they’ll be great.
If it can’t be fixed with an OTA update, hopefully it can be buffed-out:

I know the press likes to report on Tesla mishaps, but nothing I see is a systematic inability to repair cars. Some delays, for some people. If you’re affected you might be understandably furious, but the vast majority of buyers won’t be affected by major repair delays.
Hell, I just got on a three week waiting list to get a slot at my local indy Porsche mechanic.

I’m talking about first-hand accounts, like the kind people share here:
It has definitely improved in the past couple years, both “certified” repair shops and parts availability, but Tesla never reached anything close to normal supply levels before the shortages. And as I understand it from my body shop friends, most of the body parts can’t be moved from one car to another (even if someone would accept that).
How Tesla handled Roadster parts and repairs is wayyy more of an issue to me personally (stopping the flow of repair parts at all, and trying to sue people who made them), but that’s not the issue here.
I’m not sure if we disagree or not, but if you lurk on any brand/model forum you’re going to find some bad stories. Tesla more than most. Trying not to be a Tesla apologist here, but it’s pretty easy to sound like one when you say things like you most likely will be able to fix your Tesla in response to someone saying (without attempting hyperbole) Teslas are unfixable.

Tesla usually gives you a loaner vehicle (most likely a better model than you turn in) if in warranty repairs are needed… when I took mine for a paint blemish they gave me a $100/day Uber Credit since they were out of loaners at the local shop (that’s why I got a cheap BOLT lease as a back up car 
) alas I probably wouldn’t keep it past the warranty stage anyway just like any BMW or MBZ vehicle
