For the veterans and/or the brokers, what was your best lease hack ever? Could be a flip for equity or crazy low payment, amazing car or cheap set of wheels?
Has been fun to read old posts about some of the deals gone by and wondering for those who do this a lot the one you’re most proud of.
I would do this hack if I could do more than one employee lease at a time, but a $90k Cayenne Hybrid for around $500/mo is an amazing deal. I suppose a barebones one could be had for closer to $400/mo.
I should have done this one too but an R8 RWD was around $900/mo for a $160k MSRP. That would have been my first “big” car payment at the time and I was too scared to do it back then since I had an engagement ring and wedding to pay for.
I spent maybe $5000 including insurance to drive a $175k i8 roadster for a year. In retrospect I shouldn’t have sold it after the year, but had no clue that covid would affect the market the way it has.
Obviously biased but the 2017 F-Type deals that many of us cashed in on were my favorite hack in forum history. The F-Type is both an enthusiast’s car and a total looker.
We’ve scored plenty of dirt cheap deals here — even some that have turned out profitable — but from the perspective of best driving experience for bottom dollar, the F-Type takes the cake for me.
$1650 one pay 2017 Chevrolet Equinox 24/10k
2017 f-type convertible $516 month tax in $1300 due at signing 33/10k by the way both were done in South Florida dealers one of the SHADIEST dealer state in USA
2019 Volvo S60 T6 Inscription demo (120 miles) - $53k MSRP
$185/mo including 6% tax, $1800 DAS plus max MSDs
2018 BMW 340i xDrive demo (1200 miles) - $55k MSRP
$299/mo incl. 6% tax, $1200 DAS plus max MSDs
Best lease flip:
2021 Camaro LT1 manual - $39k MSRP
$269/mo incl. 6% tax, $369 DAS
Sold it after 3 months for $3000 over payoff (should have waited until summer, didn’t know COVID market in 2021 was going to be that nutz)
