Worst leases you've seen

Ha yeah tried talking to Shay over there. Horrible offer. 2% off msrp at most

No idea, with their calculations probably the same as msrp.

gorgeous car though

How is this even possible?

HAHA! Wow! It looks like they are keeping the entire rebate…I don’t even know how you get that payment with it…

I test drove a GLC a few months back. Just wanted to see how it drove. I entertained the guy asking about a lease payment. He came back with 799/mo x 36, “ONLY” 5500 due at signing. “What a great deal!” he says to which I laughed in his face. He also said we can offer a loaner C300 at 499.

Yeah, I was shocked. Not only are they offering 0 off of msrp, they’re so generously pocketing the rebate. And when I asked him how he came up with those numbers… immediately defensive.:joy:

They didn’t keep the rebate. The $535 payment is before rebates are applied. The one pay is $14k so the effective monthly payment is under $400.

The monthly payment is high due to be low residual for 15k and 36 months possibly only 51% and no discount off msrp.

My mistake. Either way, not a deal.

Hey I tried my E300 deal at the same group a few months back. Their Mercedes dealership was overpriced. I tried getting around 300 a month for the E300 for one of their loaner cars and the sales guy that I dealt with told me to buy my car from a dealer that gave me great numbers. I’m guessing they couldn’t and didn’t even attempt to get close to my price. I think the entire parent company thrives on bad pricing on all of their brands.

The way it is presented looks like the $14k is the drive off. What makes you say that it is a one pay amount?

It’s the monthly times 36 plus fees minus rebates. That’s how they calculate the one pay which is the drive off amount.

:fearful: r u serious !!! How ???

As I said in a previous post, " a fool and his money …"

Just got quoted 12,500 on a 24/10 one pay lease on a 2018 Jeep Cherokee FWD Limited which is laughable.

My favorite part is what prompted this quote. He was doing the normal what monthly payment you need to be at, so I just told him listen, you had the 2018 Cherokee Limited sitting out front with a 199 a month lease tag on it. How much drive offs are in that? To which he responded 3,900. So I said ok, you guys eat the drive offs and I’ll come sign the paperwork this evening.

Calls back and offers a deal nearly 150% over the one that is posted that I asked them to beat.

@Grbox why did you delete it? It’s a top contender for worst lease. ever.

Yes the “lease” was terrible. I followed up with the person and despite using the word “lease” in her ad 6 times, and saying that after paying the rest of the 4 years you could then buy it?!?! That it wasn’t a lease. She made it sound like a lease, but then said it was a take over of her “loan.” So the person was confused. Didn’t want to take the HOF spot for something that might not have been an actual lease.

Recap of “lease” on Facebook quoted below…

""Lease takeover for my 2013 Nissan Juke S AWD …4 years left on lease out of 2 years paid on it , Car not under warranty. $15,237.98 left on lease.

Here’s some info;

The payments are $338 a month. You just have to apply through ******* credit union (that’s who I go through for my car loan ) with a credit check and if your approved they sign the lease over to whoever is approved and then they take over my payments and at the end of the lease agreement can choose to buy it. The great part is you don’t have to put anything down.

ONLY MESSAGE IF INTERESTED AFTER REDING DESCRIPTION."

Well I finished reding but for some reason I am not interested.
A 6 year lease on a used car with no warranty??!?!

Wow…person who cannot distinguish between lease and loan is def HOF of some kind…

@max_g Wouldn’t be the first time on here. Guess you missed @dolfinboy’s legendary post?
