We turning this into a juicy clutch rumor thread then?
I heard Clutch was going to drop $200/month 0 down EQS leases and $1000 18 month Titan Pro4x one pays, but everyone was afraid the website wasn’t going to be able to handle the traffic
A 1 year suspension seems very savage, he might survive but this it’s a persons livelihood ! A 14-30 day suspension seems a lot more reasonable. But I reserve judgment till we hear more
Clutch has a great following and reputation on a lot of other niche boards. Possible to make up the shortfall in all of the other forums and Facebook groups, though it would be more work.
Feel like decision should be handed down by michael and victoria only or the forum as a whole. Just my irrelevant 2¢
@trusted_legacy_group maybe slow mode this thread awaiting a response from @Michael @littleviolette before this thread turns into rumors and accusations.
It is in slow mode, though at a minimum. The thread should be locked completely until the uppers have spoken.
This isn’t about them specifically but just in general.
Saying brokers have a vested interest but someone who has ordered or flipped vehicles from that person does not, is the pot calling the kettle black.
Wow I really didn’t expect this thread to blow up the way it did. I’ve been on leasehackr for a few years now and have also bought a Jeep off of clutch. Mostly lurking and looking at the best deals. Anyways I also feel the ban is unfair and I share the settlement with other members wondering why clutch decided to even pay a trusted hacker for promotion when he was bringing the best deals anyways.
Anyhow based on the replies to this thread, I do feel that there are a lot of brokers speaking negatively of him and most “normal” users have only provided positive feedback towards him, myself included.
I am partial to Clutch because of amazing deals he regularly offers and in general very courteous and professional. It will be a loss to those looking for deals for sure. I will miss them.
But at the same time, one has to face the music for karma. Rules are for everyone. This should not be debatable, IMO.
As to the severity of punishment, the admins can decide based on whatever rulebook they have. It should not be swayed by public opinion.
Hopefully, they will be back.
Jury of competitors? ![]()
That’s like being in a murder trial and the family members of the victim are the jury
Obviously let’s snake the competition
#FreeClutch
Mods pass the verdict. Not the competition.
I have nothing but praise for @clutch but at the end of the day the matter wasn’t up for public discourse IRT what would happen as a result of the allegation.
Wasn’t on the jury, but it wasn’t exactly the assasination of Julius Cæser that it’s being made out to be. A lot of us @brokers actually defended and continue to defend @Clutch as a friend and or peer but felt the perception of malfeasance whether intended or not was more damaging than the act or lack thereof.
Yah but this doesn’t sit well either. I highly doubt that the aggrieved brokers were thinking about the best interest of the site when they decided to complain to the mods about the so called punishment.

At the end of the day, it is up to the owners of this site to enforce community and marketplace guidelines. It is not up to any of us.

Not just a geographical hole, a hole in general. To be honest the last few months besides the on-going EQS thread, leasehackr has been lackluster. Clutch has really been the only consistent broker posting leasehackr worthy deals.
Looks like Clutch now has a forum on their site. They should start posting deal threads, like the Ram blow out thread. Traffic will pick up.
I obviously have no idea what happened (outside of reading this thread), but I do have to agree w/ this. Thankfully, I’ve only had to deal w/ a few pr*cks in my life, and they were remarkably bad at reading others b/c they always assumed that others operated in the same the exact same way that they did (which made them hyper-paranoid).
At any rate, @michael and @littleviolette have never struck me as unsophisticated, so, if they have enacted a ban of a certain duation, I’m sure they have good reasons. It may not be reasons that everyone agrees w/, but they have created a strong community here, and I think they deserve the benefit of the doubt.
Bubba, my boy, big Texas, peace and love, hook me up with a BMW guy,
Removing clutch does 0 for the users of LH. Literally 0. There is not a single car buyer on this website that will benefit from that ban.
Brokers are the only ones who stand to benefit.
Making a decision that will solely benefit competitor brokers but also detract from users is nonsensical and stinky.
