Is the EX smaller than the XC? It looks weirdly small
How long before dealers play ball for these?
The reason I ask is I really HATE the kindergarden locked UI of my XC40. Itās so anti anything , Radio, Maps, even the 360 camera really sucks on it.

Google is good, nothing is ever perfect and minor issues with the UI are better than major issues with anthing else in a car. No idea how a 360 camera can suck, tbh
The EX-30 is about the size of the C40/XC-40
EX-90 is about the same size as XC-90, plus several fatty tumors for the extra sensors that are currently only decorative.
Smaller, though hard to imagine.

I said itās Kindergarten locked, I didnāt say itās written by a kindergartener. Even tire pressures are hidden with Green / Brown / Red. I was asking if the UI was upgraded since you had seen one in the field. Thatās all. Itās really my only complaint about the car and I feel if the UI had more customization it would be a better experience.

Iām been a target of the previous Trusted hackrs so long itās an gut response. I felt that ābirchingā meant that Iām just whining about nothing. To me the UI ruins an otherwise wonderful car and to me that aināt birching. And I donāt mean the google UI, I mean how some features you take for granted such as the Air Pressure has been dumbed down to crayon colors.
And I said Volvoās current UI and its issues is not a major turn off.
Well I hope at least the backup camera is fixed, on the XC40ās is only 120 so when I back up off a slope you see nothing of the street except for the pavement.

What year is your xc40?
Use top view?
2023, when you hit reverse you see the lower half of the screen and only maybe 90-120 degrees of vision. My other cars you can see the full street even when on a slope. And if I want the 360 (which does cover more) I have to push the screen and then push the 360 (which is a UI complaint) to see behind you. Itās a daily action for me and is one of my major peeves about it.

So 2 clicks is too much? I have the same in the Macan.
As I said, if the UI allowed me to always default to the 360 (or even used the top blank half for the side/rear 360s), I would love it. Itās a situational thing which probably only applies to 10% of owners. and I canāt afford a Macanā¦lol Iāll check out the EX90 just see the changes.
To me, rear view by default makes perfect sense when switching to reverse. Then, itās only one tap to go to 360.
interesting , on mine itās two. Maybe one if I catch it real fast. I believe the 360 icon shows for 1-2 seconds.
