90% of Volvo deals or all new car deals? 90% of new cars being sold via lease seems high.
100% agree. The BMW roundel has way more cache than the the Volvo logo. If everything else was equal few people are choosing a Volvo. Of course demographics and personal feelings matter a bit too. How much more you value the BMW badge dictates how much better the Volvo deal needs to be.

Exactly! We don’t sell the better vehicle, we sell the cheaper one. hence the upcoming EX30, the CHEAPEST EV SUV, Its 5k cheaper than a Kia. Think about it, Volvo isn’t even as expensive as a KIA

Yea, not sure what you mean by the 90 being too cheap and the XC60 still therefore being the comparable option The XC90 pricing is on par with the GLC and X3. I think if you were impartial, the XC90 would be the favorite among those.
With the exception of the M model, the X3’s MSRP tops out just above where a base XC90 starts. It definitely is in a different class both in terms of size and and price.

Yup. But solely in the context of a lease and not necessarily MSRP, a person looking to budget for a X3 or GLC, at this present moment, would be remiss if they did not consider the XC90. Provided that they are not married to the BMW or MB badge, of course.

I can’t wait for this to get to our stores. Look at how well the xc40 recharge and c40 sell! Those sold so well and had so much mark up in them so they were profitable! Not to mention a vehicle that is targeted to families with children definitely needs WOOL/textile seats and not leather or leatherette because kids never make messes. At least it will be safe

Volvo wants zero deaths in their cars, but a BEV fire burning a house down will be a death outside of the car.
Volvo is doing whatever the opposite of crushing it is.

I’ve had a deposit since day 1 and configured mine last week. Denim Blue Ultra with Ventilated Dawn Nordico. Still not sure if I want it but I know this will sell instantly in Northern Virginia if I elect not to take it. My dealer said they had well over 100 preorders still despite the delays when they called to confirm my configuration.
Volvo xc40 & ex90 was on my list before I realized how cheap I can get Benz EQ. 
But will the Volvo’s AC work when it’s above 85 out?

No, it’s new. The same as on 25.5 XC90. All other new models will get it via OTA updates.

So a trip to the service department because OTA never works? I’ve had one successful out of nearly a dozen.
