Yeah, if the icon is not there, then yes. Agree, it could stay permanently. But it doesn’t bother me at all.
@ursus the post-COVID shortage backup cameras are straight trash 
. Low resolution, weird crops and angles, cuts out unexpectedly, 360 has weird stitching. It works but it’s not as good as my 2019 and modern systems in comparable cars are 2 generations better.
The rental S60 I just had was not “better”, didn’t have 360, but was not nearly as glitchy.
Nothing’s perfect. Glitching is most annoying, when it happens. The rest is ok. I can see what I need to see in the backup camera. You are very demanding

I never understood why they don’t display the 360 view in this blank half of the screen along with the backup camera in reverse.

Does your volvo backup camera lens frequently get a UTI and need a manual cleaning? I garage park and I don’t go 10 days without a touchless wash and camera always has pink eye.
I never clean cameras on any of my cars. May swipe, if there is water drop on it.

Backup camera is fine on a flat surface, once you hit a slight downslope is turns into shit and you loose the “bigger” picture which is annoying. Other cars have much better cameras and I could have swore that my 2022 xc90 was better than my 24.
Second the stitching, it seems to me Volvo developed the algorithm based off one model/original cameras but and used on all later models without fine tuning. My '20 V60 was pretty spot on but not so much on C40. Also the slope/seam of my drive way constantly triggered the emergency brake lol
My biggest gripe is that with all the screen real estate (especially being a vertical screen), the infotainment won’t display backup camera and 360 surrounding camera simultaneously. It would rather show a blank screen at top rather than displaying 360. Not a deal breaker but head scratching,

So I went to Santa Ana where they have two EX90s and took a peek
They fixed the Camera…and that’s about it. The UI is still mostly locked.
The rear and front can coexist with the 360.
The rear has full view of the back now
The 360 is now 3D and you can pivot it any way you want.
360 + rear
Front + 360
Spin the 360 and the rear moves to the top (as that is the rear of the car now)

- 3rd row power fold is nice
- Power Opening Glove Box is quite confusing. Note I didn’t say power closing.
- They moved the shifter to the right stalk.
- Quad Zone comfort
- Auto Dimming Non opening Moonroof - This is my biggest head scratcher as my XC40 has a pano opening moonroof.
