Volvo EX90 Deals?

Any deals on the Volvo EX90? What are the current incentives? All I have found so far are the $7500 EV lease and loyalty (not sure if it’s $500 or $1000). And $2000 ABA, correct?

If I plan to buyout the lease right away, what items in the lease should I try to negotiate so that I end up paying the least amount in interest and taxes?

I don’t think I really have any negotiating power with respect to other dealers as this is a preorder and I don’t think anyone has any inventory.

Fyi, to take advantage of the ABA incentive you would need to have been a member for at least 90 days.

IMO, ABA-frenzy is the most entertaining frenzy on LH for 2024.

Lucid-mania, and EQS March Madness has nothing on a bunch of internet Lawyers.

I kind of want to see a Volvo-branded tow truck from VGNA pull up to your driveway and repo your ill-gotten XC90.

And yes, VGNA is Volvo Group North America. Them Swedes and their funny acronyms.

Don’t even think about buying one. The depreciation on this will as bad if not worse then Maserati/ Alfa Romeo. Lease would be the wiser approach.

Volvo’s verification approach is not the best and it seems like dealers are just asking if person has been a member for 90 days. ABA membership only shows when last renewed and until when next renewal comes. My renewal is up in December and if I were to shop in December, it would look like I just got the membership. Luckily I have emails from last renewal in case they start asking for definitive proof.

no, but your “flex” did far more harm to this community than it helped. i know for a fact that volvo corporate saw that.

Or know a member who will provide a code for You.

SURE. Cause I told everyone how to get ABA code.

Stay in your lane and I’ll stay in mine.

Ok, so putting aside ABA discussion and lease vs. buy, what are the best strategies for buying out a lease to reduce the interest and taxes paid? What effects do down payment, MF, residual factor, MDCs have on the buyout amount?

We don’t need a third thread w/ sniping btw 2 posters. Thanks.

Dealer is telling me that their Volvo rep is saying the ABA discount is not valid on EX models. Anyone else hearing this? On the ABA page, it says “Now through the end of the year, Volvo is offering active lawyer members $2,000 off any new pure electric, plug-in hybrid or mild hybrid Volvo.” No model exceptions are listed there.

Rate Finder doesn’t show any affinity pins on EX-90 lease programs, no. And no Costco either. Pull Ahead, Lease Cash, Loyalty, FWD to AWD.

Thanks. Volvo is making it really hard for me to want to take delivery of this car. 1st the > 2-year wait from deposit to delivery. Then the silent $3300 increase in MSRP. Then having several features such as LIDAR, etc. missing at launch, then reports of early vehicles needing a CPU replacement. Then being quoted ridiculous lease payments of almost $1500 (.00364 MF, 53% residual) on a base model, $81290 MSRP. Only measly $500 loyalty and ev incentive for lease. Now I find out EX models excluded from ABA. It seems highly unlikely I will be able to get any dealer discount off of MSRP, but we will see.

You need to love this car a lot if you want to buy it and loose half of the value after first year.

I hate to be rude but given all this that you know and that it’s a first gen EV along with people trying to talk you out of it here, why are you so hell bent on buying this car?

I don’t think anyone here can do more for you.

There will not be a prize in 2027 if you overpaid for a LIDAR-delete first edition EX-90 and opted out of 16 service visits at the dealership together.
