I don’t have any issues but I experience 99% of my Sony and Samsung TV(s) using an tv, stereo-paired to HomePodz.

not sure why there’s so much OLED foaming at the mouth. obviously an OLED will be terrible in a bright room like that. go with a QLED or something, those have excellent picture quality as well and will be a million times better in a bright room

This has :bear: approved WebOS and will do just fine for $900

This is me… just like the sound system in the car or what music streaming I use… I can’t tell lossless from Adam.

For a TV, I just want the cheapest biggest one that won’t break right when the warranty expires. I have TVs from early 2000s that still work but the 2 most recent TVs had something go wrong at the 3 year mark (Samsung can’t run the entertainment hub so I have to us a separate stick, and my LG WiFi just dies so I also have to use a streaming stick now for that one).

My old Vizio, Sharp and Sony are still working (although I just gave two of them to Goodwill). I also have a HiSense but it’s running the old Android TV platform so have to use a stick with that one too. :frowning:

Like leasing… I just target a payment… biggest TV for $500.

Honestly, you should just get 4 40" or 50" tv’s, mount them corner to corner, and sync them. If you can get over the lines in the middle, you’ll have a massive screen

Because OLED is light years ahead of samsung coined QLED which is just nano LED repackaged with a proprietary name.

I wont argue that LED is brighter but they also run hotter, require more electricity and blow out colors. So you have a bright TV you can see that is color inaccurate. Though it may suit this room better in the day time, most TV watching is done at night where OLED will outshine any tv.

Samsung OS is the worst IMO.

Ive never used one I thought was objectively “Good”. Honestly - Apple fan or not, you can’t beat an Apple TV 4K - the processor in that thing is overkill for a streaming box and it demolishes anything else on the market. Lightning fast response times. Love it.

I only care about speed and lag.

Gamerz gonna refresh.

Ordered a $5000 sony x90L and a $2500 Hisense. Gonna set them up next to each other for a day and return one, hopefully not both

I’m sure I’m gonna love the sony just depends how much. This is like when I leased the lucid and they gave me a grand touring for 2 weeks before my pure came in.

I own two LG OLEDs, and like them, but I also have very dark rooms. My brother has an OLED, and prefers his mid-high end LED, because his room has a lot of light. As many have mentioned, depends on your lighting situation.

Judging solely from the picture you shared, I’d opt for a mid to high end Mini-LED, either the TCL QM8 OR the Hisense U8N as others have mentioned. Both of these are great cost per perofrmance. OR if you can scoop up one of the nicer Sony/Samsungs on clearance, such as the sony x93.

Do you have a costco membership? FWIW, They have the 85" Sony X90 at our local stores for $999. I think it packs a lot of performance for the price, despite not being mini-led. I thought the black levels and contrast were very solid, and of course its super bright.

Didn’t see this comment before I posted. Not sure which size x90 you bought, but see my comment re: the 85" at costco for $999.

I was looking at the 85” x90L which has great reviews for a midrange tv but I needed 100”.

These return policies are great. Much better then going to Best Buy for 30 mins to decide.

I used Costco for the Hisense and they include 5 year warranty and free mounting so that’s nice.

I over researched and it bit me in the ass. Had to order today to have a tv for the eagles game Sunday

What a pain packing and returning 100" TV.

They come and pick them up. Box or no box, I thoroughly researched that before buying 2. I don’t have the tundra anymore

These retailers have to stay competitive. I’m sure fickle people like me add to everyone’s pricing in the long run with returns. So there might be a great deal on an open box Bravia 98” at Miami Beach Best Buy in a couple weeks

Just get the LG OLED, here is where I can be on it on a 36/15k term, lmk if interested.

Samsung and LG are great options
You pay for what you get

I have an 83" LG C2 and a 77" LG C4. Both from www.greentoe.com. Won’t help you in time for the Eagles game though.
