*1st charger was out of service, before someone makes a comment of my parking. And if you know already those cords are short. PARK IT VERY CLOSE LOL

I’m more concerned with your parking. If you pull forward, as close to the post as possible, you should be able to reach the Lightning port. It does help to find a post offset left. Let’s not go pissing everyone off yet.

Am I the first?? Using Ford adapter with the vehicle setup as a Ford and started via the Tesla app. Apologies to @michael, who had reported that this would work, and it does.

Wow so it isnt tied to the vin?
It seems you can just go buy any adapter, then in the Tesla app setup your EV as a Ford and off you go. As has also been reported on Reddit…

No, just assigned the charger and off you go. I have a lectron adapter works well with it
This must be recent. I tried it with an i4 a few months back at a non-magicdock site (yes, V3 and had my own adapter) and it did not work.
Did you put your car info on tesla app, once that info is in, try searching chargers for that car.

Yep. Set it as a ford with my own adapter, searched for chargers tried to activate and it was a no-go.
I’ll give it another whirl soon, they just opened a site a couple miles down the road from home.
I only tried where they had magic docks, but no others. Thats weird next time ill go ill double check what i did. Ill report back
First time i did my ford, it started blinking red, said charger fault. Then next day it worked. What adapter do you have?
