Tesla Model 3/ Model Y Lease Reductions for Leasehackrs!

Tesla is giving the Rebate on all leases!

Actually, all leased Tesla’s (incl. S and X) cannot be bought out now. They all have this language - “You forgo the option to buy your car at the end of the lease and must return it to Tesla after the lease term.”

Forgot when they started doing it but it’s been awhile.

Where do you see that Tesla is passing through the 7500 federal rebate on leases?

for model 3 it was from the beginning, which spurred a lot of theories on whether they are doing it so they can sell you the car for 3 years, and then merge it into taxi fleet. I don’t know what they do with these cars when the get them back, but I almost suspect they use the batteries for powerwalls.

The lease calculator on Tesla.com automatically deducts the $7500 credit from the total all-in DAS (which is actually around 12k).

You won’t see the actual 7500 number until you’ve finalized an order and seen the lease review prepaids breakdown

(That’s for a 24 mo, 10k mi 3 FYI)

The top line of that screenshot got kind of cut off. Does it say $20,765.46 over 24 months? Does the $20,765.46 include the $6,467.50? I hope the $6,467.50 is baked into the $20,765.46 lol.

if you add the two numbers together… you get $27,232.96. That would be an affective monthly of $1,134.70 (before disposition fee) … which seems absurd.

The figures you posted do include the 7500 credit…the actual DAS is +7500 over what you’ve posted here. They just don’t show it til the final disclosures

Just posted

TCO seems to be around = ~13k over 24 mos (once you bake in the 7500), regardless of how you tweak the DAS vs monthlies

Got it, the $20,765.46 includes the $7,500 from the government, all 24x monthlies (with tax), and the $6,467.50 DAS.

Someone needs to put this in the LH calculator! Effective monthly with tax is $553 over 24 months for what appears to be a base Model 3. I’m 99% sure you could get a better deal than that on a Q4 eTron, MB EQB, or IONIQ out here in California.

Yes absolute base model 3…FL state

Remember the bad part about a Tesla lease. You cannot buy the car at the end. And I still find the down and the lease prices pretty poor. I would only put $0 down, because if the car is totaled you just lost your down.

Did Tesla just raise the lease price overnight? The numbers for a 24-mo lease are not +$1000 compared to last night.

I saw same thing - checked in morning and then evening prices were up ? Monthly even higher than 36 mos lease

ARRGGH.
I really hate this about Tesla. I was seriously considering pulling the trigger and now they swap the numbers all around. Infuriating.

**Edit:
did some research with past quotes I had saved, and it looks like they just raised the price of the 24 month lease. The cost of a 36 month lease today is the same as a 24 month lease last week.

how are you getting this? WHen I do even a base M3, I get numbers in the $500s…

Is it? I checked on Monday and I don’t see a significant difference…

The money factor .004 is so high! Is there anyway I can negotiate this/change lender or is it this bad across the board?

Yep, it’s all the incentives that makes the deal decent. The high money factor and low residual means Tesla is still raking it in with this lease. You will not be able to negotiate the lease.
