Does anyone know if Stelantis Financial Services allows 3rd party buyouts similar to how CCAP does?
They are brand new (Like 30 days old), so no one knows.
But I would assume so since Chrysler is friendly to that.
I wouldn’t assume anything until I saw the policy in writing.
Well first person to get a Stellantis Contract hopefully can post it.
Contracts rarely specify about 3rd party dealer buyouts
Bumping this. Anyone have firsthand experience?
I’m also curious about this, my contract says nothing about third party buyouts. Just went on my SFS online account for the first time & discovered a crazy low payoff amount…
Lease contracts don’t have to spell out every scenario one can think of. The lessee has certain rights spelled out in the contract (and in state law), and none beyond that.
Was it lower than your adjusted capitalized cost in your contract?
according to my BIL who works at a CDJR dealer -
stellantis financial does adjusted market value payoffs for 3rd parties
originating dealer gets customer payoff + small fee
Wow so Stelantis doesn’t prorate the buyout. Must pay all lease payments.
The flipping of the 4xE is dead then.
Interesting. So no reason to go near Sfs for a 4xe.
I just leased my TRX with them with the assumption I could just buy it out and pay taxes worst case
Looking at my contract this is more likely a situation where my payments plus residual minus rent charge and plus some garbage fees. Meaning I probably eke out a small profit at best.
For a dealer buyout, yes, it would appear so.
This doesnt describe a personal buyout though
Nothing posted says anything about personal buyouts. That should be spelled out in your contract.
Yeah and that looks like what I’d expect. Payments plus residual minus unearned rent plus fees.
Well. A cdjr dealer is buying this one. Will see what happens!
It is not clear if the lease payments are inclusive of the interest - all ccap leases include the base depreciation in the payoff + RV + Dispo
i believe retaining unearned interest should be illegal
It would not surprise me at all if “remaining lease payments” actually means “remaining base lease payments”
