Sold one to VROOM!

My experience is that the offer is tied to your email, as entering a phone number is optional just getting a quote. I had the same experience where if you call general customer support, they have little info, so you have to get transferred or call the contracts department directly. My situation was different than yours in that I had already signed the docusign, and fedexed back the power of attorney and my extra key, so in the end that’s why they refused to increase my offer to the higher offer. The lady in the contracts department tried going back and forth with her manager on my behalf, but in the end the manager said no to increasing the offer because I had already signed the docusign. Note that accepting the offer by just submitting your odometer photo, DL, and registration is an intermediate step before they send you the docusign. If you don’t want the quote to expire, you should actually click the button in the email and start to enter your info as that will extend the length of time your offer is good for. (Do this after you let the initial quote expire, and they send you the “increased offer” email the next day after the initial quote expires.) UPDATE: Looks like they may have changed their procedure and quotes are now good for 7 days, so anyone new to vroom, you’ll have to adjust my advice earlier in this thread to reflect this.

There is no gain. You didn’t sell the car for more than you paid for it.

Car picked up today.

Did you hear back on this? I’m curious about the same thing and trying to delay my next payment till after Vroom picks up the car. My next payment is the 30th, but Vroom just sent out the Fedex docs today.

No, I haven’t but I haven’t contacted them either

is this for sure ?

Is the check based on the old payoff amount or the decreased payoff amount? If they used the old (higher amount) should be getting a refund or partial refund of your latest payment from the lender. Should call them to confirm.

I accepted Vrooms offer on 09/04/20, all paperwork is done just waiting for them to find a carrier. They did have a carrier, who I called yesterday as it had been 4 days since they assigned and I hadn’t been contacted to schedule the p/u. Good thing I called, they said they had a carrier enroute to NY to get my RAV4, I said that was great, but I live in Florida! They canceled the pick up and said to call Vroom, waiting again, to see if they find another carrier. I understand problems happen, but this has been a lot more difficult than it should. I have called Vroom several times, waited 30 minutes on phone, just to find out simple things, like why no documents sent via DocuSign or Fed Ex paperwork not sent out, sees like the people who are suppose to do to heir jobs, just don’t care. I have been pleasant whenever I call, just want to get this deal done and my car picked up. This is the 2nd vehicle I sold to Vroom in 2 years and one to Carvana. This is the longest it’s ever taken to get a car sold.

Hi guys, had my leased 2019 C43 picked up by Vroom today. Not too concerned with receiving my check. But how long does it usually take from pickup to account closing/settlement with the lender(in this case its MBFS), in your guys’ experience?

Absolutely. You just going to ignore the lease payments you made?

I have a sonata being sold to vroom. I signed all the papers and received an email from vroom that they have received the documents I sent via fedex and that they are now looking for a carrier.

I got a call from Hyundai today saying that I have 3 days to either complete the buyout or return the car to Hyundai Dealership.

When does vroom send payment to the finance company? The email says they send payment once the car is picked up but that could take more than 3 days.

Any advice? I will try to call vroom early tomorrow morning.

Vroom just picked up my car! Hopefully I get a check asap. Do they email you when they send it?

I just had my car picked up yesterday. They sent me an email saying they were looking for a carrier yesterday morning and by 12pm I had a carrier contact me asking if they couple pick up my vehicle in an hour. And by this morning I had an email saying they mailed my check and one to my lienholder, which will reach both of us tomorrow.

So this process can go fairly quick from you are at. But there may also be administrative delays due to the approaching weekend etc which you may want to take into account.

Yes they email you with the tracking for your check as well as your lienholder check (if applicable) within 24 hours usually of picking up your vehicle.

Check received.

Any IFS holders in here make sure Vroom sends the payoff check to the correct address for payoff because they sent mine to their payment center. It’s now a circus and trying to get this figured out.

Can anyone explain what in the Power of Attorney document needs to be filled out by us? We received the document and it only has the name and Vehicle Description filled out, with one of the Signature of Transferor boxes highlighted for us to sign, but otherwise it seems pretty empty. Do we need to fill out all the Transferor information on the document? Or just the one signature that is highlighted?

I just put the signature and send it back with 2nd key, don’t tear the 2nd page away.

You didn’t fill out odometer reading or anything? I’m inclined to do the same, just the signature and second key and keep everything in tact, but just wanted to make sure before doing so.

No, leave ODO blank, they will fill it out once they collect the car, since technically you can still drive you car for 250 miles, they don’t want you to fill it out. but make sure you take pictures and videos on the pick up day.
