I sent an email to them yesterday, still not heard back yet.
Today is Day 3 after submitting my DL/Reg/ODO. hopefully I can get my contract soon.
Last time when I talk to them, they told me it could take between 7 ~ 10 days to get everything done…
I think it’s gonna take a lot longer now…
I uploaded by DL/registration/odometer pic Weds Aug 19, got an email that Saturday saying they’re running behind and need a few more days, and got a call the morning of Weds Aug 26 from Vroom with my lienholder on 3 way for me to give permission for them to speak with vroom to get the payoff. Then got the email an hour or so later with the tracking number for the power of attorney FedEx and a separate email with the purchase agreement docusign. So looks like they’re taking about week right now to process.
I got screwed through an IT glitch too. I got a pretty good offer (still ~$1500 below my payoff quote, but the highest I’ve received) but I clicked “not right now” in the UI after getting the offer which actually rejected the quote.
Even though I could still see it in my screen, so I called them up and asked them to accept and he said he would update it. Even after doing that, the website still wouldn’t allow me to move forward, so he told me to resubmit another offer with a different email which worked. That offer was $700 less (in less than 2 days), but he couldn’t honor the original price.
It seems there is a good amount of volatility built into their pricing model. I’m just hoping I can retry every 2 days for the next few days and see if it increases again.
I did notice in the past few days the quoting algorithm had changed. The options I previously got for submitting my car now reflect the actual options that my car has (even down to extra charge paint options) whereas previously it was just generic things like “running boards” and “tow package”.
Hopefully I can work something out soon.
Yes, I called Vroom cause I was a little nervous I didn’t pay enough attention to the car options check boxes when I was submitting the initial appraisal and might have got something wrong, and I was worried about some of the rock chips in the front fender and hood from 2 years of lots of highway driving. The first vroom rep I spoke with must have been new cause all he said was, I can add a note to your file about the rock chips so it’s documented. (I had put above average for all condition questions so I wasn’t sure if having rock chips still qualified as above average). Luckily I got disconnected from this guy somehow and had to call back and the new vroom rep said don’t worry about any of this. The VIN tells them exactly what options your car has (so it doesn’t matter if you forget to check off that your car has ventilated seats or whatever) and that in a year of working at vroom, he’s never seen a car get reappraised upon receipt. He could only foresee an issue if it’s missing an engine or something. This put my mind at ease and hopefully will do so to yours too! And let’s hope people don’t abuse this generous policy of theirs!
How did you get so much for your NX? My mom’s 2019 NX300 is in so much negatives like $5k lower than payout. She does have 35k miles on it though.
Just got my positive equity check from Vroom delivered a day after pickup. Now to see when my Infiniti account closes. Very pleased with the overall experience from Vroom.
Probably it’s the 35k miles on the ODO.
Mine 2019 NX300h has 8.5k miles and they give me 3.8k above my payoff.
Any accident?
That’s about 18k miles more than mine, so even at a conservative $0.15 per mile, we get to a $2,700 differential. And maybe the initial lease deal wasn’t struck well?
no accident
it had negative equity from the previous Lexus which was overmiles and had several months worth of payments left.
Does anyone know how to look up ur car through the Mannheim auction?
You need mannheim access.
nevermind they already listed it on their site.
So I got 38+, 39+,and 40+ offers from Carvana, Vroom, and Algo my payoff is 32,361 plus whatever the return fee is.
I would have to be an idiot to not pocket 6-8k, but what do I get when none of the luxury companies lease well or have no inventory? (I know that’s my problem)
This feels like buying a house thinking you sold your house making a profit only to realize that everything costs more and you have to find it.
What car do you have that much equity on? That’s equal to 200 a month on a new lease which goes a long way.
If it’s $16K you could tech buy the car yourself and even after factoring in taxes, still sell to Vroom for a tiny profit.
If that was directed towards me, I have an 2019 Acura MDX A Spec, under mileage by about 6k.
Seems like a no brained to me. Congrats
Anything yet? I just submitted my info today. It’s not a lease, but this is the most helpful forum I’m found for Vroom. Hoping they can get it all done by next Wed since I fly out Thursday to pick up my new car.
