Sold one to VROOM!

That was a deal breaker for me. They offered a little less then Carvana, but it was close enough for my Avalon. But I will not send a signed title and give them my car without getting a cashier check at the time of pickup. That is the way Carvana does it. Trouble with Carvana I don’t live remotely close to one of their offices.

I just did everything over email with them. After I accepted the offer I didn’t hear anything from them for a couple days so I emailed them and they advised me that they needed a payoff from Lexus so I had to contact them to get that document. After that they assigned a carrier and my car was just picked up on Monday 8/24 and I just got my check today.

How long did it take them to assign a carrier and where are you based (if you don’t mind sharing)?

After they received my title via Fedex I received an email that my paperwork was completed and same day they sent email that they assigned a carrier. It took 3 days for carrier to contact me on Monday (could be different for everyone though) and they picked up my car on Tuesday so different from what I said above. The driver took pictures of my car before loading it so I don’t think the car was even at their location yet cause on Wed I got the email about my check being sent out and the check was here today. I’m in MN and I think my car went to TX so over 17hr drive I think. I think they just look at the pictures that are taken from pickup and decide to give cut a check a day after you send them the Bill of Landing that you get from the driver.

After they got power of attorney it was the day after.

Yes, after they got power of attorney everything went pretty fast.
8/18 power of attorney was delivered to them and same day they assigned carrier

I just emailed them, lets see if they will response to my email within the same day.

I’m sure they will get back to you tomorrow…if not it might have to do with them verifying ur payoff with ur lender.

I just posted on the Carvana thread, they are offering $6300 over payoff, vroom is offering $8400 over payoff.
I just have a 2019 MDX A Spec, nothing crazy, 6k under mileage, guess I would be an idiot to not take a payoff here and just get another new car?

Uh yes imo

Agree. Go lease the same car and still be way ahead.

Did you see what Algo was offering? I sold a 2020 TLX and they were $3.3k higher than Carvana/Vroom.

Offered $2k over my Honda Pilot payoff (it’s a 60 month loan that I rolled over $1k negative into) but I didn’t bit…I know that was probably stupid. That offer expired Wednesday and now I can’t get them to send another offer…says will send next day but never get a follow up. Must be slammed at month end. Guess I just need to trust the process but I’m leery of someone taking my car and then hoping they pay it off. They don’t have title until the bank is paid so I guess they would want to pay ASAP.

Try putting a different email address, and do in chrome hidden browser. Might work.

Question for you guys. My dad has a 2019 Civic LX that has small dent and a small crack on the windshield. I listed exterior condition as average on the website but was unable to list the specific damage details. They are offering us a little more than pay off (about $600). If we move forward with sending them our bank info for Honda Financial and have vroom pick up the car, is there a chance we may be getting a surprise deduction for the damages? Is there a way they can appraise it before taking it like Carmax does? Thanks in advance and apologies it his is an elementary question as I have never used this service before.

I had a small crack on my windshield and they said nothing.

I don’t think I’ve heard one instance yet of someone getting less than what they were originally offered. (been doing lot of research since I’m about to sell my truck)

I think lot of their appraisal is assuming you’re being honest and unless there is a obvious glaring problem that you didn’t report, you should be fine.

Pretty much the same for me, submitted last Saturday, response I received yesterday:

We have received your information for your contract, however due to the amount of volume we have been receiving it may take up to 3 days for our document specialists to put yours through our verification process once you upload your customer documents.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience!

Thank you!

I didn’t know how this would work but I tried it anyways because there’s a lot of people on here that has been doing it and haven’t heard of not getting paid what they offered. I did a lot of research before doing this and in MN, the bank doesn’t get the title so I sent mine to Vroom and their check that they sent me cleared today so I’m happy that it all works out.

I might end up selling to Carvana. I actually got a better offer from them and they seem to be lot more responsive and helpful.

Still no sign of the contract from Vroom.
