Sold one to VROOM!

I know you are right. I just hope it gets moved while I’m away.

I made a payment in the middle of completing the transaction. I sent an updated payoff letter after my payment was reflected. Vroom adjusted their payment accordingly.

You have to make all payments until the transaction is completed.

It takes same time if you sell to dealership?

Vroom was pretty quick but dealer will be quicker as they can take delivery on the spot.

Sold my 2018 Camry XLE to Shift on Friday. Waiting for the payments to TFS and myself.
If all works out well, it was a smooth transaction.
Here is a $100 referral code for anyone interested. We both get $100 Amazon card I believe.

6/24: Check received via snail mail
6/18: Pickup
6/14: “Looking for carrier”

Not as quick as going to a dealership or Carvana but they offered significantly more (>20%) compared to KBB/toyota dealership/Carvana so well worth the length of time it took and the inefficiency.

Mine was just picked up today. I actually mailed in the paperwork on 6/14 thinking it was going to take a week and they tried to pick it up 6/18 when I was out of town.

I signed docs on docusign 6/20 thursday, still waiting. Whats next? Can i check the process online? Thanks

Ok so trying to sell to Carvana my lease but they ask for picture of title because NY is a title holding state or something. So I go to DMV website to order the title certificate. I add all my info, first they said i did it wrong because it is finance i need to request as a business and add the name of leasing company. I do that then it says my zip code is wrong. Talk to 2 different people at dmv and they transfer me to records department to make sure their records are ok. Stay on hold for prolonged periods and then I even request a call back instead of waiting on the phone. Never got a call back. This bureaucracy is pissing me off. Anybody has any idea how to get this title?

Also if i ever run for office in NY my slogan will be Make DMV great again. Or Fire all of them. At least you will know the rise of a new political dynasty started here in leasehacker.

Similar question in my end. My leased Forester has RV of $17370. With 3 payments left and current buyout of $18226, I’m wondering if it’s worth it to take the Vroom offer I received for $20,000 and net the ~ $1700 difference. Is it worth it? Will I be on the hook for taxes on that amount?

If you are netting 1700 you should do it. No tax unless at the end of the year it is considered profit?

How nit picky is vroom about minor dents or curb rash? They don’t really have an option to point this out when getting the appraisal. I’m on the final stages of completing the sale of my car. The car is excellent shape other than two dime size door dings and minor curb rash on a couple of the wheels. Anyone have them try to lowball you on the price after the deal was completed? It’s a 2018 with 8k miles by the way, so it’s a pretty new car as I’ve only owned it 16 months.

I think for the most part they don’t seem to care. I don’t think anyone here reported that they got less than promised due to damage.

Good to know. Thanks for the reply

We ended up getting a cracked windshield 2 days before I grounded ours and wasn’t billed for it. I think they factor those possibilities into the price they offer.

Speaking of offers. For the hell of it I ran the VIN on my new 440 and they came back with an offer that was thoroughly insulting…they really don’t want sedans or coupes it looks like!!!

Was there any minor damage to car anywhere else? I have a small rock chip I had repaired as well I didn’t even think about. I bet you’re right though, they live some room for repairs.
