Sold one to CARVANA!

May just be coincidence but now one day after Toyota/Lexus said they didn’t receive the check yet, the account is now closed

Toyota/Lexus financial can take over 30 days before they update the account. They tell you this themselves on the Financial services website. You should stop your automatic payments right away to avoid them taking an extra payment.

Just sold my 2018 Forester to Carvana. They were $600 more than Vroom, and $900 more than Shift. My check was almost $3600 over the payoff. I also got a quote from a local dealer auction buyer service and the best they could do was $600 less. So all in all, I drove the vehicle for 2 years, out of a 3 year lease for $105 per month with nothing down.

The puchase process took 15 minutes, couldn’t have been easier.

To clarify you will get that overpayment back (or at least most of it) which is the difference between the payoff amount applied and your now lower payoff. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Quick question all. I’m on a finance With PNC and will be selling my car to Carvana in the next week or so. Is the 10 day loan payoff that I generate from my account the same as what Carvana would have to pay?

If you are financing the vehicle must likely is the same.

Sold my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited to Carvana

2019 Jeep Wrangler sport Altitude
36/10K lease - Ally
Vroom - 29854, raised to 30,325 after 4 days
Carvana - 36,865. Waited a week, 37,635
For sale - 38,990

Picked it up last Friday along with a check for 103

Yes, I got $5,500 off which the Carvana quote did not reflect.

Took two weeks but our 2018 Tiguan finally showed up on the Carvana website. Asking 22k, which is $1800 more than selling price on my lease was 26 mos ago! (Not including acq fee doc fee dmv fees $~$1050). Residual then was $16,800 @24 mos. Carvana just paid me $18,800. Will be nice profit for them if they net $3000 on our transaction. More power to them!

Will a dealership payoff post quicker to my account than a Carvana payoff on a lease car through crystler capital?

Long time lurker, 1st time poster. Love this site. Best car buying resource on the internet. Thanks to all!

Sold my 2019 Tacoma SR5 V-6 2wd to Carvana, no options to speak of. They paid $32,600, more than I paid for it new 12 mo ago. Took 10 min at the Carvana store to wrap up the sale. Now on to the next lease hack.

Welcome to the site @GONOLES…What you found with your Tacoma is what many of us have found with ours as well. Carvana paid more for it a year later than we did at lease inception!

I received a favorable quote on my Charger.

It’s through Chrysler Cap. Can I get Chrysler Cap to not include the sales tax if I tell them it is through Carvana? I simply asked for payoff amount which they sent to me including sales tax.

Its been 2 weeks since they picked up my 2018 Jeep GC. I wonder when Ill see it listed for sale on their site. Do they sell every car they buy, or do they send some to auction?

You need to ask Carvana to call Chrysler and ask for the dealer payoff. It is usually the same as your customer payoff less the sales tax. Chrysler will not release the dealer payoff to the customer. Another option is to just call and pretend to be a dealer.

I sold my 2018 Honda Accord to Carvana about a month ago. Couldn’t have been happier with the process. I had about 9 months left on my lease. Carvana was offering me nearly $3k over lease buyout price. Honda was also easy to work with and I was able to get the dealer buyout price, without sales tax included, quite easy. My Accord was in great condition and approximately 6-7,000 miles under allocated amount at the moment.

Great deal on your Tiguan sale to Carvana.

How do you calculate the sales tax on the buyout? I’m considering selling my BMW to Carvana, if I can remove sales tax from the buyout it will definitely help. I’m in TX, is it simply 6.5% x buyout?

Didn’t you already pay sales tax on the entire purchase price when you leased it?
