SIGNED: 2020 BMW X3 xDrive30i Loaner 36/10k - $51k MSRP - $433/mo+tax ($469)

Thanks to this forum, and special shout-out to @avocautos who helped with ideas and feedback (thanks so much HK!), got this deal.

I felt it was decent for a higher MSRP X3 xDrive30i loaner in NorCal – I had grinded through most of the loaners in stock at the Bay Area dealerships – no one really wanted to offer anything more than 11-12%
(and very often marked up the MF). I also fell in love with Dark Graphite with Mocha Vernasca Leather color combo. Given we have a toddler my wife and I decided flying down to SoCal to pick up a deal there was a non-starter due to potential COVID exposure. Didn’t quite match my screaming first lease deal on a BMW 330i deal in 2017, but I’ll take it.

Year, Make, Model, and Trim: 2020 BMW X3 xDrive30i w/Convenience, Diving Assistance Package, Live Cockpit, and Mocha Vernasca Leather
MSRP: $ 51,485
Selling Price: $44,646
Monthly Payment: $433+tax = $469
Drive-Off Amount: $2000 drive-offs + $3500 (MSDs)
Months: 36
Annual Mileage: 10,000
MF: 0.00082 reduced by 7 MSDs = 0.00047 (buy rate)
RV: 55% reduced by 3.3k mileage = 53.7%
Incentives: $2500 ($1000 lease cash, $1000 loyalty, $500 OL code)
Region: NorCal
Leasehackr Score: 8.9 years

Originally, the sales associate gave me full $1000 discount on OL code from recent Feeding America test drive event, but somehow finance only wanted to give the $500 amount, so GM reduced the selling price $500 to honor their quote of $433+tax on my deal.

One tip: I often felt giving a flat $2k down (knowing the drive-off on all these X3 loaners was close since no full reg fee and having ~$150 cap cost reduction) number worked the best to try to normalize most of the scores instead of asking for a straight drive-offs with no cap cost reduction number. Also, I dictated the terms – basically said I want X monthly payment with $2k driveoffs + $3.5k (7xMSDs) = $5.5k out the door was the best way to pit the dealers against each other. Eventually I go this deal by taking dealer 1 and pitting with dealer 2, then getting the best result and pitting that against dealer 3, and did so for about 4-5 dealers to get down to the target price I wanted (since most didn’t start anywhere close).

EDIT: Added a few pics.

Isn’t lease cash $1,750 on an X3?

October lease cash was $1750 with Loyalty $750?

Is that on the 2021 or 2020? I got the 2020 numbers from Edmunds for the sDrive, assumed xDrive was similar. Edmunds couldn’t seem to provide numbers for me for 2020 recently.

2021 X3 in October

Yeah makes sense. This is a 2020, the numbers a different. Slightly more rebates on the '21s it seems!

If the rebates aren’t as good on the 2020, and the residual is obviously lower, got to get a huge discount to compensate. Shoot for 10% off, plus incentives with base money factor on a 2021. Brokers can get you 11-11.5% off. You would basically save about .5% after paying their broker fee. Good luck.

Good advice. This is a signed post so won’t help me but thx
