What is the selling price after you pull out the volvo allowance/lease cash incentive?

Open your own thread in Ask the Hackrs. You bumped up month old topic.

I’m looking for a CX-5 lease. Haven’t found a deal close to this. Do you mind PMing the dealer name or salesman info to me, I’m in SoCal.

Agree. Can buy a 2020 740i with low miles from Hertz for $42k-46k and own it with much smaller payments. I am sure there are some folks who are happy to pay a massive premium for a brand new 750i but I’m not one of them.

Can you? Where? Hertz has a single 7 on their site and it’s a 740i:

Where did you see Hertz selling these cars at 45K off, find me one and I will buy it.

Appreciate your question–beyond engine displacement, I think it’s the magic fairy dust in the paint and the angel tears used in the wiper fluid.

The discount in calc in this deal is around 15%. Nothing to write home about in my view. Of course you may think differently and you are welcome to that opinion

That’s not a good deal

Could you please explain why?

Re: Hertz - they come and go depending on location and distance. I saw 6 offered a week ago in California and they were all gone over the weekend. It is completely random as availability depends on when they take them out of service. Also someone might reserve one and then cancel (or decide not to buy it) so it goes back into the sales pool.

Saw theM on here for $800-$900 down with no MSD with conquest and other incentives

I think you saw 19’s

As someone who has driven both the 740 AND 750- please don’t ever compare these cars again.
Knowing the difference makes the difference, which is why 750 buyers pay that huge premium over the 740. Someone in the market for a 750 is only going to get a 750. They will not compromise and settle for a 740. 750 feels like a completely different car. That being said BMW makes the 740 AND THE 750 for a reason- to cater to personal preferences. You can lease a 740Xi sub 800s all day. Not the case for a 750.

from purely a long term ownership perspective- 740 is much better. N63 motor in the 750 is a basket case, on the other hand the B58 in the 740 is rock solid.
I saw a bunch of the 7s in the mid 40s on Hertz’s site. Man they went quick. There were some really great deals on these cars, 2019 5 series for like 27k w about 15k miles.

This sounds like a lot of fluff and opinion. What are the real differences?

It is my opinion :joy:
To be fair it is after driving both cars. I mean a 740 is a 7 series at the end of the day.
It’s just the 750 feels much much much more powerful. Night and day comparison.
I know that going for a 750 typically adds $250+ per month
I guess if all you need is a smooth sailing saloon, then opt for the 740. Otherwise 750 if you can swing it.

Do you guys think that the same 40i engine from the 340i is going to be thrilling in the 750?

AFAIK only the 750 has option 552- ICON Led full adaptive lights. They completely change the look of the car.

Long term ownership doesn’t really matter to people leasing.

And the B58 is still a little too new to praise its rock solidity, all three of my b58s I currently lease are 2019s and all 3 burn oil and coolant to the point I have to top off at least monthly, and one already had to have 3 seperete warranty claims done on the engine alone.

Couldn’t agree more.

From afar I thought I wanted a 7 Series, so I drove a 740 and then promptly dropped the 7 Series from my list.

After finding no real alternative I went back and drove a 750, and I knew from the first time I pressed the accelerator that this was going to be my next car.

And mine’s a 2019. The 2020s are even more compelling.

Plus the one advertised here is an xDrive. My only regret was getting a RWD. From a dead stop, there is too much power to send to just two wheels.
