I only got W+ because it’s free AND it covers my Paramount+ lol
Don’t really shop at W
Any hacks for a 2-room BT speaker set like the Sonos 100 for $379?
Apple increased the trade-in offer for my circa-2019 27" iMac (worst computer I’ve ever had) from $250 to $325, so I’m trading in this POS for a 512 GB Mini, which I’m picking up tomorrow.
I also applied a $50 promo gift card that resulted from an Apple Watch gift purchase my spouse made a moment earlier.
So… $699 - 325 - 50 = $324 plus tax, which should get me into something that doesn’t take 9 minutes reboot or 2 full minutes to get Excel up and running.
Also grabbed a 38" curved LG monitor from Amazon for $3 less than Best Buy’s BF price, but that was more for faster availability than the $3.
We have that same Mini with an M2.
Very fast and works great with two decent monitors.
I got a 34" during prime summer sale for $200 and they had the same for BF.
LH just hits different on a curved 38”
34 wasn’t big enough.
I’m already concerned that I should have gone larger than 38, but I don’t want my office to look like a data center.
I did get the lowest Amazon price tracked by CCC.
Of course as you can see it’s been out for over 3 years.
4" in dick size is a big deal. Not so much in 4" diagonal monitor size.
Then you bought too much monitor.
A 30" would have been sufficient.
I bought it because it was half price. I was fine with my 27" Samsung. Or was it 30"?
Either way, 27 or 30 was already unnecessary.
Should have gotten a 23" for less money and the same result.
A guy at work does brilliant Miro boards on his Motorola Q.
I have 3 27’s in my work office and there are still times I find myself complaining that I “need more monitor”.
I’m currently staring at my child’s Xmas gift to themselves…the 49" for $700, over my 29". It looks like a set of wings.
I switched to CRG9 (I think that’s the model number) 49" a few years back, and never even considered going back to multiple monitors.
Isn’t having one large monitor a bit more of a pain, in regards to having multiples “screens” open? I love the ease of throwing something onto a screen and it’s automatically fills the screen.
I have thought about ditching the multiple setup and getting one LARGE monitor.
There are some things that aren’t headline-worthy for the “discount” off retail but the value is really good IMO

It takes some getting used to (was a big fan of multiple monitors), but mainly I use FancyZones from windows powertoys and it divides the screen into predefined “grid” and makes organizing windows a breeze (there are a few other utils that do this). Add to that multiple desktops separated by focus and functionality and quality of life is waaaay better than multiple monitors. Add to that a mount (these fuckers are heavy and required a non-Amazon sourced mount) so it’s hanging in mid-air and is not taking up any desktop space, and this is the best setup I’ve had.
if anyone is interested, daskeyboard is running 20% off which is probably the best they do in most cases.
