Nissan ARIYA Discussion Thread

This is what happens when you really need a mid-size pickup, but you only drive EVs.

Same position here. I put a hitch on mine and tow a 4x8 harbor freight trailer when needed. I get some funny looks but it works for the 10-20 times a year I need a truck.

Yes!! So many questions… Would love to see pictures of the hitch install. I’ve looked into this, but don’t want to cut the bumper lower valence. Nissan won’t give me a straight answer on how they will handle it at lease return. Did you go OEM or 3rd party brand? I’m looking at the Curt. What did you do for wiring? Does it handle the trailer all right?

Curt with the wiring kit from etrailer. It wasn’t that hard routing the wire from the battery. You leave the bumper on but have to wedge the hitch in there and it was tough by myself as I was laying on my back and holding up the hitch at that same time. A second set of hands would make it much easier. The cut out is small and can’t be seen unless you’re laying on the ground. I doubt any lease inspection would catch it.

As for handling, it’s fine. I don’t notice a difference and I even leave e-step on. Although I’m not hauling very heavy stuff. Probably no more than 5-600 pounds at a time and very local (within 10-15 miles). It’s a lifesaver for things like drywall, buying trees from the nursery, and trips to the dump.

Just picked up our new 2024 Ariya Engage+ AWD yesterday and we love it. The lease deal was $199/month for 24 months with $0 down and 10K miles/year, The residual is $32K.

Snagged a 2023 Ariya EVOLVE+ AWD from a dealer willing to give a nice discount off MSRP and include the regional dealer cash. SIGNED: 2023 Nissan Ariya Evolve+ AWD | MSRP $56,270 | 18/10k | $211/mo

My wife’s description when she drove it… ā€œthis is sickā€.

Disappointing the EVgo and Wallbox are gone but the deal certainly makes up for it

Did they extend lease program for 2023MY?

Edmunds says it got slightly better in fact.
2023 Evolve AWD for example

I’m so not sold on Evgo. I have ONE in my city right next to 8 stalls of EA. that one EVgo is old and maxed out at 50 kwh while EA right next to are 150-350.

I’m sooo happy someone figured out you can use ID4 plan to get free charge for Arya. My next closest Evgo is 20-30 min away and while there are 4 stalls there rated 150+ I’ve never gotten anything above 70 there when I tried.

On EA stalls, I get 120 very often now when the weather is good.

Need personal best charging speed for me in the Ariya.

And yes, I have sawdust everywhere now.

Question to Arya owners - what are you getting for your economy?

Most of the time, my Arya Engage+ AWD shows somewhere around 2.2 miles per kWh, which is A LOT less than my ID4 at 3.1 miles per kWh.

And that is I’m trying to use Eco mode on Arya, and ID4 doesn’t even have the ability to choose the mode:)

Am I missing some setting or something on Arya?

In my Evolve+, I average over 3 miles per kWh on a monthly basis which is a mix of highway and local driving.

2.2 seems pretty low.

Ditto, my ID4 is more efficient than the my Engage, it also charges quicker on L2 or L3. Since all my charging is free I don’t really care  My Ariya is only a FWD Engage and the ID4 is still more efficient. And I don’t drive either of them very nice. I’m more than 2.2 on the Ariya but being a lower powered than the + AWD I’d assume that, more like 2.7, my ID4 is 3.1 too

Definitely seems low. Below are my stats for May. It’s a mix of city and highway driving in standard mode in my Platinum+.

I can definitely melt the battery on the Ariya Evo+ driving aggressively. But unless you drive like Batman all the time, are you sure you have e-step on?

@SzaroJr finally beat me in monthly mileage!!

Huh… thanks for the screen shot. I have not checked my app. Only relied on that trip report when car turns off and that what I’ve been seeing most of the time.

Now in the app report it does show 2.99 m/khw on average. Ok. So it’s now as bad as I thought it is.

Damn, I’m so glad Nissan now allows to buy miles during lease term at $0.10. Apparateny my life likes her car so much that it is driven at the 15k miles a year rate vs lease cap at 10k

I’ll definitely need to buy extra miles before lease ends. Thankfully I can charge it also for free because of ID4
