Itās her dream car.
I know for most people itās a flex thing, I could care less. But she deserves to get something she wants if we can afford it, and we can. And honestly her income covers the cost so Iām happy too.
Who knows, in her industry, the car may bring new business and sheāll grow her business too. Who knows.
Im just surprised and finding out that the only way to not throw money down the drain on a vehicle like this is to buy cheap up front or with as little markup as possible and offload right away.
Iām getting this now to not be in a position to get that one with Iām sure a āgrandā markup!!
Real estate?

Putting two and two together Mercedes has announced two things this week:
G500 (the G550 overseas) has a Final Edition which they said will be the last V8 in the G500.
G63 has a Grand Edition which is black/gold similar to the final G65 in 2018.
Makes me think 2025 is the facelift which will result in the EQG being released finally and the G63 going to the V8 hybrid which the other AMGās have done. Who knows about the G550āI canāt see them putting a V6 in it.
If you can afford and want the G then get it. There are more expensive cars, there are faster cars, etc but just something so unique about driving a G around.
Iām in real estate as well⦠Donāt put that evil on me Ricky Bobby! (at least Iām looking at semiretirement in a couple of weeks, deal flow is as dry as the sahara desert!)
The matte black monoblocks
Really??? I didnāt love them in the mid/late 90s, and I donāt like them now (and esp not on this car).
Fugly. How many characters?
I appreciate the feedback from everyone. Had the opportunity to order at msrp and have it 6 months from now sometime last year but at that time she wasnāt working and there wasnāt any opportunity for tax benefits.
Expecting to sign today.
My last question is regarding the mileage terms. Contract says excess mileage is $0.25pm, dealer said $1.00 on the phone.
Normally on a high msrp vehicle Iād do lowest mileage allowed, 5k, 7.5k etc. and Iāve run the math but itās roughly 35k difference between 7.5k and 25k mileage term.
Paying excess mileage on 70k miles is roughly 20k. The math favors lower miles.
The residual goes from 54% on low end to 35% on high end.
My thought is to go with the high mileage terms and take a loss there and hope to cash in more equity at lease end. Any flaws here?
