I did it myself. One ended up 90 miles away where I could bid on it at the Mitsubishi dealer that bought it. The other ended up three states away and never hit a dealer lot. Recomend the dealer option 
LOL my last EQS ended up in… Ukraine.
Sadly, it did not bring much in donations for the Ukrainian Army, only 258 hrivnas (=peanuts).

Hi, I’m considering buying my leased EQE, but it’s currently underwater by about $20K. Is there a way to work out a deal directly with the local dealership — where they purchase the vehicle from MBFS and then sell it to me at a small profit (say $1–2K) — so it never hits the used car lot?
Also, how do I find the MMR for the vehicle?

Technically it is against MB bi-laws for you to purchase the same car again back. You will need to get someone else to buy it from the dealer and transfer to you. I tried to do this with my EQS AMG and dealer said MBFS will not allow it. Dealer can get into “big trouble”

If you paid cash or had outside financing, would they care?
It basically cannot be sold to same person again at lower rate. Cause when you end lease, RV is set so the “loophole” to buy it at cheaper rate cannot be done.
My eqs RV was 94K but dealer was selling for $65K. He said it can’t go under your name at all regardless how you pay
I’m sure if you pay in cash and register under wife’s name or something like that won’t be issue.
What if it sits there for weeks or months properly advertised and available to the public?
Had the same situation with BMW and it becomes a grey zone where the dealer wasn’t even sure but wasn’t very anxious to work with with me on that. The car ended up selling fast.

Has anyone done A2 service during their lease? If yes, how much did you pay? My lease was due May 7th but I was able to extend for 1 month and now I got a notification in my dashboard that A2 service is due in 21 days which is before the new maturity and I don’t want to get dinged for any active maintenance notifications on the dashboard
Can you return the car now? Or in 20 days?

Uncle Google is the reason why I decided to ask here LOL. Technically, I can return it in 20 days and I should be good. Will they charge me? Could call the dealership but was hoping for someone here to provide some color before I go that route. My goal was to extend the lease as much as possible but have no intention of getting hit with the 2-year mandatory (apparently) service 
I did it where had 3 months left . dealer initially quoted for 1800 and negotiated to 1250 approx.
Which service is thr A2? Don’t MY24 EQS come with free 2yr/20k maintenance?
Anecdotally speaking from past posts, lessors like MBFS and BMWFS frequently audit their dealers for such behavior. It’s so frowned upon that manufacturers will reduce allocations or cut bonuses to those dealerships. So making a few hundred dollars on such deals is just not worth it to them.
FYI- You can reset the maintenance indicator yourself by access the workshop menu. Good video is here. Not sure if this will be enough to get it past your dealer or not…
