Mercedes Benz EQS Lease Superthread - 2

No way… I was hoping to have them for me at least a 3 month extension…

I will try to tell them I am working with a rep to get a new MB EV that is not released yet as someone said earlier in this thread.

Try it and let me know how it goes.

I take it you’ve done a hard reset of the MBUX OS? I generally do this every morning, before I start driving away. I guess the nice thing about being out of warranty is no worry about firmware updates.

You mean holding down the power button and let it cycle? Actually, I did not but you just reminded me that the system did it for me twice recently with a very loud bang coming from the rear left speaker. Scared the crap out of me the first time while driving.

Just called- they are offering 2 months and asking me to call back then to see if I have a purchase order- otherwise they can extend more “as needed”

wow nice. Good for you. how many months is your lease left?

I got a 3 month extension as a starter

Is it through dealer or mbfs?

MBFS.

Called and told them I’m working with one of the dealer associates.

They didn’t ask questions

Do you have one pay or monthly payments?

Monthly

10char

Monthly as well

Will they make them enough until October when my eqs lease up?:rofl::rofl:

Anyone tried to purchase their EQS post lease at the market price (not residual)

my residual is about 70k and market price in the low 30s

Curious how to start that conversation with the dealer explaining that the residual is 40k under water

You wouldn’t have to explain to an MB dealer what the car is worth, they already know. They also don’t care because it isn’t their car… it belongs to the company that’s renting it to you. And even if it was their car, they are still keenly aware that it’s only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Just try to negotiate when it actually hit the used car lot.

Good chance it will get wholesaled with that kind of gap between the pricing. Keep checking your VIN on Google to see where the car pops up.

My 2023 eqs 580 sedan with $79.7k residual is listed for mid $50k. Dealer slowly dropping asking price over the last 4-5 weeks.

My 2022 went through Manheim. MB finance didn’t even fix the damage they charged me for (FedEx truck hit the bumper the night before turn in). If you have any contacts who have dealer licenses, they should be able to track and bid on the vehicle.
