Huh, been there, done that, still don’t know what happened as I haven’t had a chance to pick up my car yet but reading the closed RO online makes it sound like the dealer closed the update loop. MBZ software is so atrocious it’s just absurd (and, no, not just EVs, ICE have been known to have the same problems @holeydonut )
Anybody gotten an EQS 580 into workshop mode before? Trying the left side HOME followed by OK handshake but it’s not working.
I have the same thing in my 2024 EQS. MB service did some recalls, but they said there is solution to complete this update. LOL.
Damn so apart from all these mechanical issues and warning lights, is the EQ line up done done for deals forever ? 0 expectancy for end of year deals this year ? Chapter closed or is the entire book headed for the fireplace ?
Oh btw… asking for a friend … ![]()
Deals on EQ line are really disappointing.
Minimal manufacturer incentives, fleet non stackable and RV is terrible.
Anyone seen anything reasonable in October?
I spoke to one of the local MB daelers.
He described this month sales like this.

Pot calling the kettle black.
Fellow EQS owners,
I present to you the nicest review of the EQS I have seen yet, courtesy of the Extra Throttle House YT channel.
They really didn’t hold back. Here are some of the glowing highlights:
-
“horrendous to operate" and "dangerous”
-
“A Car That Will Age Like Milk”
-
And my personal favorite… “Looks like a dog turd that has melted in the sun and re-dried.”

well they have a point about the look at least. And it did age like milk ![]()
No clue who those two ass clowns are but they are clearly desperate for clicks. No wonder I never heard of them before. And their “driving skills" appear to be just as atrocious as their click bait channel. Never saw anyone having problems on an on/off-ramp because of 4WS and there are millions of crappy drivers in LA. Yeah, comparing EQS to Vinfast and RS7 in the same breath? And choosing Vinfast over anything??? Really? That alone should get them deported to Vietnam lol!
For the record, I’ve driven Malibu Canyon that they seemingly used for the backdrop dozens of times in both of my EQS. Fun drive with properly aligned car, tires inflated to spec and car in the Sport mode, way more stable and much better handling than probably 90% of the cars and 99% of the trucks and the SUVs out there they probably raved about. Had some very spirited chases with serious sports cars and EQS did perfectly fine (obviously AMG one’s better). Clear skill issues on both video and driving.
Name one modern-day Mercedes other than G waggy that hasn’t?
Hi,
My lease on my EQS 450+ sedan will end in around 12 months. I would love to lease another EQS (assuming they’re still available). I’ve been combing through the forum for advice to be better prepared for the next one, as I kinda went in blind on this current lease and got bent over. So, a few questions:
This is my second new Mercedes. I purchased the first one (‘22 GLE 450) which I later traded in as part of my EQS 450+ lease. Does this type of situation qualify me for any sort of loyalty perks on my next lease?
My EQS lease is 48 months at 10k miles per year. It currently has around 8k miles and it will probably have a max of 12k miles when I ground it. Can I use this low mileage to my advantage?
For any EQ owners, what was your lease return experience like? Did you lease a new vehicle? How did that process go?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
You have a long way more to go. Programs change every month, so it’s best if you see what’s available when you’re actually looking to make a move.
See above. And you only qualify for whatever it is you are eligible for, with your current lease or ownership.
Unfortunately, if you paid for it, you need to use it. A lot of folks over-estimate the value of being under mileage on their leases. Any benefit to you will only be worth several hundred dollars, not thousands. So, best to use the mileage that you are paying for.
This is really helpful. Thank you.
I would check in with your prior sales rep monthly to confirm the mercedes loyalty programs, which may include multiple months of pull-ahead payments where they’ll eat the remaining payments to get the new lease now. If they are struggling to hit sales volume numbers, I’d expect these type of offers to show up.
It looks like the free EA charging for 30 minutes is still working even past two years from the in service date. I charged mine yesterday for the first time in a long time at EA and they only charged me $6.
It’s two years from the start of your lease not the in service date.
It’s two years from the day EA was activated. The other two dates are both irrelevant.
