Anyone with the third row AMG staggered wheels with summer tires swapped to all seasons? Not a ton of options out there.
Then why to buy MB?
Hi all,
I’m in New York and currently on my third case with MBUSA for a 2024 EQS 450 SUV due to ongoing ADAS , steering, and sensor failures. Several repair attempts have already been made, but the issues keep returning and new ones continue appearing.
Here is the consolidated list of technical problems:
ADAS / Steering Behavior
-Unintended aggressive steering correction during lane change
-Inconsistent lane-keeping assist; steering resistance during lane changes
Sensor Malfunctions
-Front-left proximity sensor triggering with no obstacle
-Reverse beeping with nothing behind the vehicle
-Park Assist activating by itself while driving
-Occasional false collision alerts
Camera / Vision System Issues
-Camera obstruction / visibility blocked messages
-Intermittent: “Content unavailable in current vehicle position”
-ADAS features glitching or temporarily disabling
Mechanical / Other
-Prior coolant leak
-Steering wheel replacement
-New deceleration squeak/whine after service
-Random software pop-ups and intermittent system resets
Status With MBUSA
-Multiple repair cycles (basically 4 rounds)
-Previous case denied; now on third active case
-Dealer often notes “cannot reproduce” due to intermittent nature
-Vehicle has been towed before for safety concerns
Questions
Has anyone else experienced unintended steering corrections or ADAS instability on EQS/EQE?
Any similar sensor or camera issues?
Has anyone in New York gotten a buyback or lemon-law resolution from Mercedes for ADAS problems?
Thanks!
How many days in total your car was in service?
Contact a lemon law attorney in NY at this point for your options.
I’ve had steering and sensor issues but not as severe as yours except for two instances of sudden braking on the highway and in rush hour traffic. The sensor malfunctions I don’t even bother with anymore cause they happen weekly (sometimes even daily). Just riding it out since I don’t have much longer left to go on my lease.
Around 15 days
Can lease be retuned with winter tires?
You must return the lease with the tires matching the original specification. Doesn’t have to be the same manufacturer
Slim chance to open lemon case IMO.
You can always try.
Three repair attempts for multiple issues and just had another incident. Car would slam on brakes randomly, camera issues etc. Have about four months left on my lease.
