Nice- but where is your hacking manifesto?
@Dany1122 can assist.
Insurance adjuster just called saying they will total the car, lol ridiculous that it can just get totaled like that. Time to get a new car I guess.
Local Porsche dealer just got a awesome cherry 911 Targa 4 GTS in from Atlanta. 1k miles. Ditch these EVs and get a real car…
Not surprising if the bill is anywhere near the $60K given how these things depreciate. Also undercarriage damage can get iffy, used to see cars at salvage auctions marked as undercarriage/suspension damage which didn’t look that major. Insurance company might not want to take the risk of repairing and it not working out.
For people currently leasing EQS, is the pull ahead up to 3 months or 6 months? My lease on my eqs ends in December and trying to figure out if I can get a new eqs for a lower monthly payment with loyalty.
Who’s your carrier? Can you dispute if you want to keep the car? Sucks if you lose “unused portion” of your DAS and cheap payment with almost a year to go.
New program starts today.
Anything good?
It will take a few days until we will get the details
Progressive, the adjuster said they also found crack at bottom frame so it’s not safe to drive.
Soon a reality… more news outlets picking up on G580 not selling well. Maybe everyone getting a R1S instead of G580.
Yeah, it’s insane for all that money for 239 miles. I don’t think people spending that much want to be charging every 239 miles. lol. IMO
But for @Alex1438 … the battery has a protective plate.
Who’s driving a g-wagon for roadtrip
220 miles range is fine. I’ll take it if it’s a SL hardtop convertible ev or a gt coupe ev.
Yeah, 220 miles is kinda low for an EV nowadays. It’s fine for everyday driving—most people only do about 30 to 40 miles a day—but when you’re spending serious money, especially on something like the new Mercedes G-Wagon EV, you’d expect more.
It’s not just the number either. That 220 is under perfect conditions. If it’s super hot, cold, or you’re stuck in traffic blasting the A/C, you might only get 180–200 miles out of it. That’s not great when you just dropped six figures on a luxury SUV.
At that price point, it should be giving you more range and less to think about when it comes to charging. Honestly, a lot of cheaper EVs are getting 300+ miles now, so 220 feels outdated.
The refreshed R1S tri motor also exists… makes the G580 a tough one to rationalize without a lot of discounts.
Any good deals coming for Rivian? Leases do not look good at the moment.
Looks like bow tie guy and LH are on the same page. He’s calling on MB to put cash on the hood (subvented lease residuals or low MF is just another form of manufacturer cash).
He’s a true corporate guy though. Says the product is great, but consumers aren’t ready for it. lol.
Can’t wait for LH to pick up some G580.
