Technically it’s los altos hills . Have an X7 already, no need for 2 of it. Just need something smaller for wife to drive. 911 will end up in similar situations soon with the road condition, glad I didn’t get a 911 actually, repair costs might be double of the eqe.
Haha my bad. HILLS.
BTW if you plan on adding solar and on prem batteries, drop me a PM. I know the best installer out there who does Atherton and “the hills”.
How did they come up with a subtotal of $54,511.××?
What am I missing ?
Misalignment, so instead of fixing stuff, they just want to replace pretty much the whole steering stack from axles to air suspension…
Wait are they trying to charge you this out of warranty? HFS!
Yes they said there’s under panel damage so considered insurance issues instead of warranty.
Have you gotten it back yet? how long was it in service? If you have not gotten back how long has it been in service? i’m on 50 days. they are still diagnosing due to a charge fault, not even at the repair stage yet. MB trying to say that it won’t qualify as lemon because it was leased CPO but MI law seems to indicate otherwise.
You should have crashed your car into a lemon factory instead of damaging the undercarriage with a small bump.
Crazy - service revenue lol
I think you should fight this - once they figure out how to get to insurance, they start milking
Will insurance even cover this and if they do expect your premium to go up
Yes insurance will cover it. The insurance adjuster is fighting on some of the charges. Eg some rim scratches and they wanted to replace whole rim, adjuster asked for fixing the scratches instead.
Not a fan of Tesla, but you don’t get ripped off by dealerships as much.
My parent’s tesla Y got into minor fender bender in parking lot, got a dent on the rear quarter panel, scratch on rear bumper & wheels. Repair cost $7.5k. Similar damage on any $50k car should be about $2-3k max. Cash the check & live with the dent. Got another check for diminished value. LOL.
My Nissan leaf had a 7k repair bill from rear bumper as well. It’s bad but not nearly as bad as the Mercedes bills of 60k though… not even an accident but some broken plastic panels at the bottom.
I’m probably never going back to Mercedes Stevens creek for service anymore. Not sure if it’s all Mercedes dealership service departments though.
No idea why would @Jon landfill this completely relevant question re possibly litigating this as a design flaw/insufficient protection. Have you tried to contact any lemon law attorneys? Or feed this idea to your adjuster to see if your insurance is willing to take on Mercedes?
I’m not liking the new ninja stealth landfills. The posts just vanish and we can’t tell when Jon does his landfilling. Kinda lame SMH.
Not sure I’ve seen one of those yet. This one was a good ole bulldozer shove (and for no good reason whatsoever).
Are there any fix to the underwhelming AC?
Just to eliminate one possibility: are your front center vents in the “perfect” position? They should be dead center and you should feel a very soft click when you place them there. Cannot tilt them left/right towards driver or passenger as you would in other cars. Yes, it’s really that silly!
Also, (obviously) close recirculation and set it to low after the car sat in the sun. It’s a large car to cool fast with the hatchback vs say S class which is a true sedan and HVAC seems to be a bit undersized for the job.
Just returned my 2023 EQS in early today (lease end of July) for a 2024 demo. They waived the lease end fee and the final 2 payments from the old lease. I was already over on the miles so this also saved me 2 months of $0.25/mile. New EQS450+ has MSRP of $113,795. I had zero due at signing and my monthly payment is $500/m. Included in that zero due at signing was my first month payment. I literally just traded my 2023 EQS for a newer model and dropped my monthly payment $275/month. Think I killed it on this one.
very good. Similar numbers - my 120K MSRP car is $520 monthly and 2000 DAS. I’d trade rear seat package for no DAS lol.
