Bought just one first, but later had to buy 4 and replace all.

Got my eqs back and body shop did terrible job of blending. They are certified MB shop too.
Manager keeps saying this is the best it’s going to get… blah blah. I have diamond white and their paint looks like polar white with no pearl effect
Are you sure you didn’t take it to Stevie Wonder?
Looks like shades of teeth whitening gone wrong
Dear EQS drivers,
Would you guys buy one of these at the $45k range?
That’s on par with a brand new “entry level” car like Ioniq 5 or Model Y and I’d like to believe you get way more on the EQS for the money.
Any reason you wouldn’t recommend it at the $45k price point?
Yes, at $45k, I take a used eqs instead of ioniq5 or tesla y. However, for used $45k, its competition is iX & GV70 electrified. iX is a better car for the money. I do prefer GV70 electrified though albeit its lower range.
Exactly what I said. Body shop is adamant saying they did 'perfect" job. Blaming how right side of the car has “old paint” vs other parts having new paint so will never match.
I don’t know about benz diamond white but I do know toyota pearl white is impossible to match if you have to repaint it.
Body shops will tell you something along the lines of white, especially with pearl effect, being hard to match. Also metallic paint looks different on plastic bumper vs metal body panels.
I have definitely seen white cars that I knew were re-sprayed because of mismatched paint
Yeah. I understand that if it is a shade or two off… not 6-7 shades. My whole left side is now just regular white cause they had to “blend in the bumper” so the rear hatch where it shows bumper is pearl. Just over shit ass job
If you can get an extended warranty through MB and find a non-lemon one (see if you can access the service history), I would say my 450 4Matic sedan is a no brainer at $45k. Great range, space, and comfort. It would be a solid buy even at $55k in my opinion, $45k is a steal for a good EQS…
Legit question, why do you care since this car is being returned in a few months anyway? Leasing is the best.
Just drive around with a dirty car and nobody will tell the plant doesn’t match.
Dealer already warned me that I will be slapped with lease end fee if paint work is this bad. MB will charge you to fix it again.
I think they mean if the car had paint damage. Your car is literally sprayed/repaired by a MB certified shop.
Or just drive your EQS and crash it into @brunot99 ‘s EQS. Solve 2 problems at the same time.
Something something copy @Bumboola ‘s disclaimer about insurance.
PS, take off the HRE’s first and send to me.
I can’t live with that on my conscience driving mismatch shit lol
Can you lemon it for bad paint job
Honestly, I probably could but too late now. Dealer knows it was in accident.
First ever lemon claim for “the car is too yellow”
That would be a bit risky… all you’d need is to put a depth gauge on it. The respray will almost never match the thickness of the factory paint.
Agreed. Once seen, it can’t be unseen
