Is this really the new hack? Wow.
I guess I’ll have to go test/borrow one and see what the hub bub is all about
Aren’t they the same? One has $21k down and the other has $5k down.
Basically, both have a trade in, one with extra $5k down and the other one has $0 DAS. Think either is doable? I havent seen any leases this low for this pickup so I’m wondering why all the dealers are advertising $999+ a month for ultra low mileage lease 36 months.
It’s basic marketing. A three digit payment is always more enticing than a four digit one.
But at the end of the day if you can S179 it that yields a bigger savings than the lease tax credit.
It’s perfect for me cause i commute 60 miles a day 4 times a week for work. So the EV option is ideal and the bonus for me is the 12k max towing with only sacrificing about 100 miles of range. (Based on other owners reviews).
I wish I still could but I’m a W2 employee now.
They’re pretty awesome and as Doug said in his latest review they don’t have a market. Conservatives for the most part don’t want EVs and liberals don’t want a hummer. I expect some great deals on these going forward. If the mf gets subvented and discounts get around 10k they’re gonna be in the 600-800 range depending on the trim you get. I think the 3x is worth the extra $ but most people would be fine with the 2x.
Considering what large SUVs cost these days I don’t think they’re as grossly overpriced as most EVs but I also don’t think they will sell well. People were paying 250k for them during Covid!
Which one crabwalks?
Why would you lease a car with 10k miles per year knowing that you’ll far exceed the mileage term?
Your commute alone is 16k miles/year.
I’ve been quietly paying attention to the MF on these for a little while now, but I think others are starting to notice too. If the lease terms stay the same but the MF improves there’s definitely going to be an opportunity to hack these.
I think they all do. Not 100% on that though.
I can’t tell what the difference is between the trim levels other than the “Watts to Freedom”?Also wonder if I can swap out the knobby tires for something more efficient.
Do you really want to move from a $16k car you own to $1,100 lease payment?
When is @GOAT going to get a Hummer 3x for $350 monthly?
You’re correct.
If it doesnt have the off road package you get 22s instead of the off road tires. Surprisingly the off road tires arent as aggressive as youd think and about just as quiet as the non off road tires.
The 2x is a two motor. 3x is 3 motor with larger battery and range.
Both are 15k 36 month lease options I would consider, i was just giving the example of only seeing dealers advertise the ultra low mileage leases for $999 like on GMCs website.
I only commute 4 days a week so if i commuted every week * 52 weeks (not including holidays) id be around 12500 miles. Enough cushion that I dont go over and can still take some longer road trips.
If I could get it for under $700 a month like the calculator examples, yes. But $1100 a month plus more expensive car insurance, no way. Gotta be a good deal and make sense.
