HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 4)

Another data point. $65k rubicon. (It has painted fenders, looks like no one cares)

Carvana 54200
Algo, driveway,autonation below $50k
Local dealers $50-51k

Do you guys think it worth the drive 2.5 hours to Carmax for appraisal?

At these prices I am thinking to keep it. My monthly payment is only $360 fo 12k miles/year. Just dont want to drive it for 3 years.

2021 or 2022? That’s a great monthly payment.

Region. miles.
Keep it but keep trying someone will bite it
Not sure these leases are transferable

Some have had luck with carmax offline appraisal. It’s a bit of a crap shoot getting someone on chat to send you the link or know how to do your request. I was able to get a chat agent last fall to send me one, I tried a couple times this summer and got resistance and was even told by one agent they don’t do that anymore and you have to take it to the store for appraisal.

Tysons Corner is close by Koons and a pretty decent area to hangout. DC crime has risen a lot but if you do go there, stick to the national mall area, Georgetown, or union market. Georgetown is great for strolling around and is also the only place you’ll see a 2 mile line for cupcakes :man_facepalming:t2:

Union market has a bunch of :fire: pop up restaurants.

That’s a nice payment! I wish I planned mine better. Just got my '22 Sahara a couple of weeks ago. I planned on flipping so I only got 10k miles, but I’m really enjoying it and wanna keep it (since flip market isn’t great and then I’d be stuck paying more for a '23).

Kinda screwed myself lol…

It is a 2022. I signed it before the mf increases and rv drops.

Michigan 2700 miles. 2022 model year.
Yeah i think that makes sense. I will keep trying while enjoying the car.

Built and ready to ship…

agreed, was in tysons last summer for work and the area does have a decent amount of “stuff” to kill time if you didn’t want to venture into DC

MI does not pay well and local dealers are stocked too.

Keep it with those horrible offers.

Opinions/thoughts/advice please. My son (after 8 months) finally got his 2022 HA, used Clutch and his Southern Dealer. Excellent experience, so excellent that I now want one. I don’t have a problem ordering as I am currently leasing a 2020 Wrangler Willys through Ally and it’s not up until October 2023. What is making me hesitate is the uncertainty of the $7500 tax credit next year (I would be leasing the HA, I would’t be claiming the credit but using it towards the lease). If I order now (through Clutch), I highly doubt the Jeep would be built and delivered by the end of the year (for this year) BUT if it was to happen, can I get out of my current lease with Ally? I don’t have any problem re-leasing using Ally if it will help get me out my current Jeep and into the new one. The other scenario is it takes months to receive the HA, I continue with my current lease and pay it off when the HA arrives. At that point (or even sooner) if the tax credit scenario is known and as a result I’m not able to use it and my payment is insane can I walk away? What would you do? I should add that my current Jeep is in showroom condition and under mileage.

Sorry for rambling. I’m pretty sure I know the answer but was hoping someone can think outside of the box LOL Thank you.

I have a 24hr test drive of a $64k (retail) Sahara 4XE at Carmax Burbank later. 2k miles and ‘former lease unit’ so this is definitely someone from here!

(just deciding if I actually wanna put an order in and if it actually fits in my garage!)

Yeah we been seeing bad offers out of Michigan. Maybe try IL, OH and IN dealers. might get lucky their. If 7500 rebates get canceled in 2023 then no one going to buy these new leases .And I expect good offers starting spring of 2023 because inventory will be start dropping by summer of 2023.

Just put the order. You can always use my Garage . LoL
Carmax must have paid like 56k for this unit. See if you can low ball them .starts with 58k go upto 61k.

Yeah too many Jeeps. Makes sense being home of the Jeep and many people qualify for employee/supplier/family discount in someway.

I asked to the ones that they don’t have any 4xe s in stock but still no luck.

Carmax does not negotiate

HA history is not good for quick delivery. If same trend continues then getting HA in 2022 is very much impossible.
I read it that clutch dealer in LA going to order like 100 jeeps . I am sure some of them will be HA and if they arrives in 2022 as per them they will offer the $7500 lease rebates but lower markdown on msrp.
Think its 5 to 6 % off msrp. If you want to wait then just grab one from that lot .

WoW 23 Rubi. Thats fast…who is the dealership.
