I have a question. I just left a dealer in SoCal and this was the offer they gave me (which I obviously walked away from) for a 2023 Willys with an MSRP of $63120 zero due at signing.
Why is the Federal rebate ($11,000) being added at the end-of-lease? Shouldn’t this be added to MSRP to lower the monthly payments?
Confused on this and don’t want to sound like I don’t know what I’m talking about. Thank you!
This is so far away from being a good deal, there’s no point in even going back to this dealer. They’re giving you no discount at all.
Your top sheet is showing a cash purchase option. They’re adding up the cost and then applying the purchase rebate, so your cost before the rebate applied would be $70462, they apply the rebate, and your new cost is $65212.
On the bottom sheet, they’re just listing the lease terms being used to get to the monthly payment number.
You should easily be able to beat these numbers by $4-5k.
Thank you for reply. This was what they came back with as second offer
. When I saw this I just told them they were so far off that it’s a waste of my time and left. SoCal prices
.
i was offered 500 down 500 a month at hb jeep in so cal for a willys
didnt take it
That’s actually not bad for HB CDJR. they usually don’t discount leases by much. They are better to finance or buy but suck at leasing. Seen they finally decided to discount MY 22 hellcats and MY 22, 392 Durango’s.
They do have good pricing, but I hear if you dont finance with them they take the discount away no?
This is what most dealerships have been doing in SoCal. I’ve been looking for 2 months and legit keep being offered bs deals. HB has a better reputation, though.
Interesting I havent seen that, although no dealer has tried to convince me to use their financing (outside of HB) as I have been looking to pay straight cash for my next vehicle.
They add 1k to the sale price if you don’t use their financing. Overall still a better deal. What I’ve done in the past is finance with them then refi shortly after.
They told me no discount at all on a lease but 8k on a finance? Never understood their logic. Orange Coast is worlds better from what I’ve experienced.
I would reach out to @Jeff_BeachCitiesAuto - he is straight forward with pricing.
you tried going out of state yet?
Have not yet.
First time leaser here, Jeep is having a special $12,500 off of the Jeep Rubicon 4xe thru July 31. After going thru their online flow, I found it’s thru Autonation & they are charging $8k DAS for “taxes and fees.” Is that normal? How much should I expect to pay at signing?
some dealers will be giving significant discounts (6-10%) before incentives. That’s not a normal quote there. depending where you are there are brokers or dealers that can help.
You should be running away from that deal. Youre getting no discount at all.
Click the down arrow on what those $8k in taxes and fees are, would love to see it.
I do realize that your payoff and Jeep payoff are not the same…
Chrysler payoff is lower for the dealer, as they don’t pay taxes on it …
I know Colorado registration is expensive, but that’s ridiculous!
Just noticed you are in the Denver area. This looks like an awful deal for this area. I don’t know RV/MF for 36/12 Rubicon but for comparison
I have been shopping deals for $63K Willys 4xe at 36/10 with payments around $550 and $1700 DAS for first payment and rebate taxes. In my experience, dealerships here in CO do not collect registration fees. You pay that separately at DMV and I would expect ~$1500 for first year on a $68K Rubi.
