Ugh damn. I originally intended to keep this Jeep but I placed an order for a Model 3 just yesterday. Current estimate is August 5 - 25 (for Tesla) and Jeep has a build date of July 31st. I have a feeling the Jeep won’t be here by then!
If 3rd party payout amount is different, I’ll probably have to forego this deposit. Any idea if Gupton will allow someone else to take over your order?
Could you share some of the data points you’re seeing on the CCAP 3rd party buyout changes? I’ll call them tomorrow and see if mine has changed either way.
I did a live chat today with CC and they confirmed that it’s different for a 3rd party, dealer or buyer site. Then vroom confirmed to me that they were still trying to get that purchase price. So I’m not even sure what it is, CC won’t tell us.

Also, I found this on the CCAP Dealer Site. I wonder if this site reflects the new payoff info -
Where can I get trade-in payoff information for a Chrysler Capital account?
Payoff information for Santander Consumer accounts is available 24-hours a day from our automated Account Information Line. Utilizing the primary customer’s last name and VIN, you can also access the information online. Vehicle Payoff - Santander Consumer USA
Read in another thread on here that someone claimed their dealer said CCAP is no longer extending the $7,500 federal credit on a lease to the lesee. Any truth to this?
FYI, Gupton is quoting 8.1% off or 9.1 (off MSRP) with affiliate. So it has gone up a little.
On the flip side, if CCAP is doing the old turnabout on buyouts AND since I haven’t had good offers anyway, we’ll be keeping my green one, which is just fine by me. Time to buy me some Army stickers!
One question guys:
I am in California and got deliver of my wrangler from Gupton Motors in TN on 5/31
So far I have not received registration and plate from DMV! Is it something that I should be worried and follow up?
