HOW TO GET A GOOD WRANGLER 4XE Deal; Buckle up for a LONG read! (Part 1)

,

So I’m really kicking myself for not hopping on this deal back when I first saw it before the two price hikes.

With taxes and current prices, my price paid would be around $50000 for a loaded High Altitude. Would anyone be willing to share the prices they’ve been offered on the High Altitudes from dealers? Ive seen some prices for the Sahara but not HA

I am sure it’s sticker or 2-5k over.

I meant as in selling the car to a third party. I’m assuming ~5k-7k under sticker but with the price increases it might be the original HA MSRP which would really hurt. There’s a chance I could hardly have positive equity at all thanks to Texas taxes. Either way the monthly ($514) is great for a ~63k car but it’s hard for me to pull the trigger with all the hooplah going on right now.

If you haven’t bought yet, the current 3rd party prices are irrelevant since you won’t have the car for 8-12 weeks.

Vroom was terrible to deal with. Auto lenders was incredibly easy/ fast to pickup and pay.

+1 For VROOM being an absolute PITA to work with. There are others here that have had a smooth transaction. I sold my truck to them, a process which began in May. We are more than half way through July and the lien still isn’t paid. Sent the check to the wrong address. Mistakes happen, but there have been mistakes and errors the whole way through

How are you guys getting quotes? Both Carvana and Vroom have to get back to me with a quote.

I submitted all docs on 14th but today they messaged me they needed a screen shot of lease end date? For what?! I tried hard to get ALGO to go up $1k to match Vroom but they want no part of it. Sux

Carvana will never get back and Vroom takes like a day or two to give one. ALGO offer was good and once I submitted all the photos, it went down $4k? Carmax took about 5 hours after I left to send an offer which was lowest of all 4.

No reply from carvana here, either. Vroom offered $49k. No thanks.

Unfortunately it appears the offers have dwindled hard this month!

My Vroom experience keeps getting better…now they say my payoff I sent them is no good, that Chrysler Cap gives different dealer payoffs and they still havent gotten it yet? Then they want a lease maturity date, I said sure, the day it was bought plus 3 years?! Ha, they have to have a document and CC just told me they only mail it. So I now I gotta wait for that to be mailed and scan it and send it I guess. Headaches

I’m hearing rumors (and seeing some data points across forums) that CCAP has changed their 3rd party buyout prices to market rate like many others.

I’m 99% sure this is true

well while that sucks, I’m still glad I have one on the way, and super excited about it!

Let’s not forget… there is no other car out there one car get a discount on, order custom, get within 10 weeks, and drive!!

So this would mean the only option to sell the 4xe would only be to a dodge/jeep dealer?

Or buy it out and sell it yourself.

Still have 3rd party payoff, know personally. I had to borrow $ to buy out an ally lease and then resell and payback the family member. Might have to call them again! Haha
