lease RV is based on the msrp at time of contract signing
$60k. You contract price is the MSRP and Selling Price used, not the new price
Are you sure about that? My understanding was the new MSRP was used and only the selling price got locked in. I could be wrong though.
Nope contract price. Ordered my first Rubicon 4/20 price went up in May. I picked up June 16th with lease based on Order MSRP
With my first 4xe, I went through this and all my numbers reverted back to the original deal, not the new numbers.
Also, for what it’s worth, you don’t have to worry about this anymore if you haven’t placed an order because sold order protection was discontinued as of October 1st. So you can no longer lock it in (per leasecompanion)
I think this is where we’re mixing up terms and crossing wires.
From my understanding:
Sold order protection is still available; this protects your sales price.
RV protection was discontinued. That’s what would revert to the original contract terms for RV, etc.
This would be why some of you have experienced the contract price being consistent on prior orders.
So you’re saying RV would be based on mew MSRP but selling price would be based on contract MSRP?
That is my understanding. I could be incorrect.
If this is true it makes the -9.75% even better because I’m sure if BBB passes MSRP will increase incrementally.
My understanding sold protection locks in MSRP and selling price. At least that was the case for me.
RV is based on MSRP at Order. Selling price is based on MSRP at Order minus negotiated discount (ie 6% below invoice).
The RV for 2022s is unknown at this time, so it cannot be locked. So when the 2022’s are delivered, the RV at that time would be multiplied to the MSRP at Order.
Hmm, interesting. Guess I have that backwards.
Interesting. I specifically asked leasecompanion this for the group but and he said it was discontinued 10/1 and the only thing that could be locked was the percentage off MSRP via their deal.
Where you at in MN. I’m in maple grove. This is pretty positive news. Looking forward to getting my order in
It’s possible that’s all his dealer is willing to do and they stopped doing 10/1. Could also be a miscommunication referring to sold price vs RV
I thought that MSRP and Discount were locked but nothing else was? @AutoCompanion can you chime in?
Not according to this
Where’s the group buy?
It’s linked in the post above yours…
Some places are locking in sales price some are not. Just like with doc fees, distance and shipping fees, you want to do what makes sense for you. Just like deposits, you will get the best deal with a 1,000 deposit. Example… chapman is doing 11 percent off TRX with no deposit with no sales price lock. Nothing wrong with doing that. You can change your mind and walk away. Koons is doing 10k off msrp including sales price lock which is more than chapman but you gotta put down 1k deposit. I got first two jeeps for my family from gupton. I decided go order my third from chapman since the first two jeeps took forever to get and i didn’t know how long chapman order would take or what the market would be doing. So i paid more but could have walked away since no deposit with chapman.
