I’ve decided to try and negotiate a deal for a 2024 Lyriq Luxury or Sport 2 and need help getting in the $200’s per month with $0 down. Before I start contacting dealers I wanted to see if my calculator assumptions are correct. I signed up for the premium membership so I could get the MF, residual and deals in SoCal. I found this specific 2024 Sport 2 with a dealer in SoCal per their website.
MSRP - $73,215
10k/24 mo
assumed a 6% discount which seems more than reasonable
I have included $12k in Taxed Incentives
$7500 - Fed
$3000 - conquest
$1000 - costco
$500 - GM card sign up
I assumed a dealer fee of $295 and gov’t fees of $1052 although I just guessed. I’m not sure how to calculate the tax, license and registration that goes into this number.
My DAS comes out to be $2,569 and a monthly of $250 ($270 with tax).
I feel like I must be missing something. I would love any help or feedback.
Got it, so I have to remove the $7,500 from my taxed incentives. If the residual is correct, I have to shoot for a much higher discount off MSRP. Something like this
I got the residual from LH Calculator. Luxury 2 for 10/24 was 76 and the Sport 2 for 10/24 was 71. Odd the residual would be different for Luxury vs Sport like this.
You would need to find a loaner with an extra 2500 to even get close. I got 12% off mine before rebates. Hard to find. Tech or lux1 are the trims you need.
I was looking at the ZDX which has the same chassi as the Lyriq but I just down like the interior and exterior styling. What’s a realistic goal for a new Lyriq.
At this point, looking at signed deals and marketplace, you know what the realistic deal is.
As previously mentioned, your only chance to get a great deal is to find a loaner/demo unit with $2500 CCR demo money on the top of the rest of the rebates, but unfortunately, it will not be easy.
Happy hunting.
One example from Dec 2024
This is my deal Agreed with everything commented here. I don’ t know what the current incentives are at. When I did my research in December to get in the $200’s I knew I had to target a low trim Tech / lux1/lux2 demo. The demo incentive coupled with GM Supplier, GM Card Signup, Costco and Conquest I would be under $300 month all in. This was not easy, I didn’t act quick enough on Jimzigg’s referral in early December and tried to find my own deal in the midwest, it was brutal, I got close in Cincinnati market, but then JimZigg reached back out that the deal fell through and the demo was still available. Without the referral it was super tough to get to the ~8% discount in the midwest market, or the dealers would discount that high but then mark up the MF or add on dealership add-ons. Good luck with your search, we are really enjoying the lyriq.
thank you and to all others for your recommendations. I’m going to try and target a Luxury 2 as it has a better residual then the Sport 2 for some reason. I’m thinking mid to high $300’s with Conquest, Costco and GM sign up. I would need them to discount the car about 12% which is the most I’ve heard on the threads. If I find a loaner I can get the additional $2500 off and definitely hit my goal.
I was wondering about the miles on the loaner. If I get 10k/24 for a total 20k miles. Does the existing 6k loaner miles come off that number so I only get 14k miles to drive additionally on the car for the 24 months? Just want to make sure how that works.
So, the way it was explained to me by the dealer on a GM Financial lease, the normal RV is set to how many miles are at lease turn in. You can choose to add miles at a pre-paid price. If you want me to pull the exact numbers I can, but I’m recalling it’s something like .20 per mile to prepay and if you want you can add them to get you to the 20k for 2 years. Alternately you can just roll the dice and if you go over pay .25 cents per mile if you go over. Another alternative is to just increase to a 12k or 15k per year lease, the residual will change slightly to make up the lost miles on the demo. In the end I just rolled the dice the few thousand I may go over was all within a couple hundred of each other if I prepaid, increased the RV or just paid the overage. 6k is a lot of miles on a demo though, most only have a few hundred to 1-2k.
Hi, I leased a Lyriq Lux1 (demo with 250 miles) late December (https://forum.leasehackr.com/t/signed-2024-cadillac-lyriq-lux-1-awd-loaner-241-miles-24-10-one-pay-4667/633656).
I did a one-pay lease and was able to get it down to $4700 which translates to $195/month. To get even close to these numbers you have to look for a demo/loaner car. If you go on the Cadillac’s website you can search for available vehicles around you and look for “Courtesy Vehicle” then verify with the dealer that the car is still available and take it from there. It’s a lot of work but if you can score a good deal it’s definitely worth it! Good Luck!
That’s what I’m working on. There are definitely some courtesy cars available. However one dealer has gotten back to me with the incorrect residual and an inflated MF. How to I address those issues and confirm which numbers are correct?
