Help with a 2023 CPO Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo 4s lease negotiation

There wasn’t enough time on the clock nor timeouts to run it on 2nd down. If they ran and failed the clock would’ve continued to run. They only had 1 TO but needed 2 to ensure a 4th down play. By passing it was either TD or incomplete pass thus stopping the clock. But Butler…

So then why do you care if you are getting a great deal on the vehicle? You seem to be getting a good price, but terrible lease terms. Does any of that really matter if you are going to write it off anyway?

Also, the fact your wife loves the car and you are going to write it off for business raises a few eyebrows…

Writing it off makes it less out of pocket. But it’s not free by any stretch. Every dollar is still my dollar. So I’d like to make those lease terms less terrible… As for my wife…she’s German. She has very strong opinions about cars.

still should of ran it lol. at the goaline? Let beast mode do his thing!

You’re correct in regards to taxes. Ignore the weird takes heavily sprinkled with fuzzy logic and questionable subjective opinions. Do confirm with your CPA if they give you time of day before 4/15, lol.

Curious if you considered BMW M cars, AMG EQS or E-Tron GT or RS? Much more hackable in So Cal but do not come with the Porsche crest. Unless you live in Ventura or parts of OC with lighter traffic, you won’t realize most of the Porsche driving dynamics in LA or SD traffic.

I know…I have a 2020 992 that I barely get to enjoy. A long time ago I had an M3 and then an M5. Loved the M5 but ultimately got rid of it because a 6speed manual was just cruel to both me and the car in LA traffic. And that was BEFORE traffic got bad. I don’t love the exterior design of the EQS. To be honest I probably should just get the Kia EV 9 GT Line and have a comfortable time going to the grocery store and use the 992 for what it’s designed. Joy.

That’s one way to go! Or get one fun/practical car to hit both targets. EQS has something that I don’t think other Germans offer - intelligent mode - where it will slow down for you and keep the distance in traffic when you feel lazy or tired. It’s basically a dumbed down adaptive cruise control for times when ACC is not useable or worth it. I understand your apprehension about the jellybean look but suggest you look specifically at an AMG, preferably in colors that bring it out AMG visuals and contrast (while/black or selenite magno). Rims and night package make a difference too. You should be able to get one for somewhere around 1K/mo locally.

Full disclosure; I have an AMG EQS and like it a lot. Another perk: rear wheel steering will amaze you how nimble this large car is in tight quarters. Humongous trunk too.

GL!

I’ll poke around re the AMG…I think people advocating for their own cars is a great thing, not a conflict of interest thing. 1k/mos is a magic number that’s pretty impossible to hit but for the oldest and driven Taycan CT4s. thx.

Ask the dealer if you can one pay the 12 month CPO lease. I found it to be a way for the dealer to get the MF down on a 12 month (which was unexpected).

Someone can correct me but I was told 12 month leases on CPO/loaners is no longer allowed.

Also…and not to start a whole different conversation that has taken place over the last couple years in other forums…but I took a CT Turbo S for a drive in the LA rain yesterday and the brakes were…interesting to say the least. The regen was asleep and the mechanical just didn’t feel like waking up until I almost rear-ended three different cars going under 25mph.

Huh, you’d think that German cars could take a little wet stuff in stride! We’ve had BMWs and Benzes all throwing hissy fits with some drizzle or fog.

Well, some ideas (or elimination process if you will) for you: how do you feel about i5 M60 (I just initiated a transfer on mine the other day, link just for reference of what you can get UNDER $1K effective for what’s sorta an electric M5 but no massaging seats

Or how about this i7 x60 (not an M and quite loud in red)? Looks very hackable if you get them to drop it to about $100K

Actually Glendale has 19 loaner i7s and 4 i5s. How about an M70? This one is already priced close to 20% off, push for 20+.

Though they are certainly listing it for too much.

Can’t lease brass hat cars that were punched in NJ.

So, if true, the first is out (I hate that color anyway).

The 3rd was reg’d in CA. No clue about the 2nd.

Glendale is pretty good about separating ex loaners from brass hats. They actually have two separate links under used, one for each.

How do we feel about this offer from a CA dealer on a new 2024 Taycan Cross Tursimo 4S demo/lease…125mi…147k MSRP…31k discount…plus 7500 rebate… 39months/7500miles. Asking for 5k down. Is this similar to the Demo Porsche leases we see here? I haven’t responded. Feel free to fire away.

That looks like an amazing discount for a new unit, buy-rate money factor too, that’s a major loss.

Even for 2024? And can you explain why they “require” (his word) 5k down. It’s not TTL or first month as far as I can figure.
