Ford Mustang Mach-E -- MY23 Order Banks are Open

At this point if you can find a premium for 5k above MSRP, shouldn’t you take it? Youre guaranteed the Fed tax rebate too.

Especially if you’re in a state with the 2k options incentive.

How do you find out which states have this incentive?

Toss in a zip code. CA and MA are at least two.

Hmmm, wonder if the zero percent interest is stackable with the 2K rebate?

Don’t think so. The rebate is for ford options (the leaseish ballon loan) and they only offer that for 36 and 48.

It did sound too good to be true. TGTBT

Thank you!

As other EVs (continue to ) go up in price the MME increase will be considered normal. As inflation is up 9.1% (year-over-year) a 10% increase from MY2021 to MY2023 does not seem out of line.

Is everyone now priority 1 or some are still not there? My dealer said priority 1 will get build but I doubt that. My impression is all MME22 are priority 1.

$70k is the new $40k. Get used to it everybody. Maybe lease hacking will come back in a few years but it sounds to me like Ford for one, and likely other manufacturers, would rather not have thousands of aging vehicles sitting at ports or on lots that have to be heavily discounted to sell before the depreciation of a calendar year hit comes. If the mfgs keep production in this build to order mode, and customers keep ponying up $70k for a mach-e, there’s no reason to think anything will change. Now perhaps upstart mfgs like fisker who might come in with a $39k product that can actually be purchased at that price, other mfgs will follow suit and enter lower end models at lower prices. But most just like to barely undercut their own models while chopping off major features or shrinking the car so much that the value proposition isn’t very good on the cheaper cars.

As for $70k for a mach-e or $70k for a model Y or etron, it’s a no-brainer and we all know it (except the mystery customers who are paying $70k for a mach-e or $100k for a F150 lightning). Can’t blame Ford for taking advantage, at least for now.

Will be placing orders for 2023 Mach Es after 5PM EST for New England clients.

MSRP
Will accept X Plan if Ford makes it available
$499 Broker Fee
No BS just smiles

I thought Ford said no X-plan for MY23? Is this a regional thing?

Oh lemme check. We did it for 22 so I just assumed (we know what that does).

More to come after 5PM once orders can be placed

Pretty sure there is no X Plan for the 23s.

Agreed. Have seen multiple reports of that unfortunately.

Dang thanks for you crystal ball analysis.

I think you are great but really is getting MSRP that hard that someone needs to fork $500 to do it?
The 3 dealers in LA i spoke with when placing my MME order in April said they would do MSRP without funny business.

Thanks for the note!

TBH … I don’t know yet.

If we’re not seeing any orders, I will have to push for something (assuming they want to get more juices flowing).

Just got email from dealer about my Mach-E RWD Select order:

Ford inputted the order as a 2023 but it looks like they have removed the Comfort and Technology Package as an option in the 2023 Selects due to commodity issues.

I can either keep the order as is (view attached). Or we can make changes if you want to try a different model. It’s my understanding that Ford’s website will be updated tomorrow so you can spec out a 2023 right on their website.

Sooooo …
If she’s correct, my April order will now be $3200 more expensive and I don’t have the option to add heated seats anymore. Also curious to find out should I decide to “spec out” a different model, if the $2000 Ford Options rebate from April will also fall to the wayside.

I hope she’s wrong about everything, and that there is actually a “private offer” that was promised previously that will protect the price from April. Will find out tomorrow.
