First Sightings (for me)

People on industry forums obsess with the grilles too much considering the general public doesn’t give two shits about it. The Acura “beak”, the Audi ridiculously large grill, the BMW ever expanding kidney grills and yet the manufacturers just keep pushing forward and the cars keep selling just fine. The only one that changed after gazillion years is Acura and they went with gigantic grille concept.

Peronsally I don’t see anything wrong with BMW new designs. They maybe a little strange, but in a year or so they’ll be viewed as normal.

Spotted at a local strip mall

Then this just chilling down the street. I’m really seeing Maserati (Alfieri) more than I’m seeing Ferrari.

Leaving that Bugatti like that lol, i would hire someone to watch it while i’m gone

I totally agree w/ this and the rest of your post, but I think it’s just… sad.

Ohmigod, I totally thought I was lookin at an F-type (which is what I thought when the press pics first came out). The Alfieri (which I have never seen in person) seems more “Italian” to me, although I can’t explain why. I think the Roma is a great looking car, and one I’d love to have if I had the $$$ (and I am not normally a sport-car kind of guy).

It’s very Jaguar-esque IRL too

Can’t wait until I see one. Lots of nice cars running around this part of Los Angeles, but not a lot of Ferraris of any type. Perhaps that’ll change once the Ferrari SUV is available (groan).

Speaking of which…

Similar to the Huracan Spyder RWD that I took out at a Lambo hosted event during Monterey Car week. Very very spirited, hilltop, damp Corso-mode fun.

Yeah, I saw that at a private reveal at Indy Motor speedway, and then again at BMW event at Austin’s COTA’s F1 track. I think they call that interior treatment Yas Marina. (YAS is Abu Dhabi’s F1 circuit). Would be a fun car! Then again, my numerous times driving the M8 Comp is also loads of fun.

Just saw my first redesigned Bentley Flying Spur, in white.

Spectacular looking car.

I really, really, really, really want one.

Should be first sighting for you, too.

Based on other spy pics, I assume this is the upcoming BMW 2-Series coupe.

Or someone trying to make their 4 series look better.

I know you’re joking, but this car looked more like old 3-Series coupes (which I’ve always found attractive) than either of the 4-series (even ignoring the grille). Certainly not flashy but well proportioned, and the flared fenders are very nice.

The shape of the tail lights looks like older s60 volvo

Looks RWD?? One can hope it’s not based on the awful FWD platform.

The little I’ve read said the coupe is def staying on a RWD platform, possibly shared w/ 3/4-series.

There are leaked pics of an undisguised car on the internet which show the front and rear. I think the old S60 taillights aren’t bad. The upcoming car looked to have tailights that look like “smoked” versions of what the 3-series sedan from 2 generations ago had. :stuck_out_tongue:

Saw a bmw 335 on the road today

Plates read:

“BMW 335”
