Blessed survivor of usually fatal Esophagus Cancer. Given 20% chance to survive; even if that meant as a very low quality of life existence. Over 12 years now of having the best possible outcome imaginable. Live every day thankful every waking moment; even if it’s mundane and working 60 hour workweeks to keep my three children safe and sound during their college now.
If you have acid reflux, get upper endoscopy like I did. It saved my life. I would be dead today had I not. They gutted me like a fish, took out my esophagus, and pulled my stomach up into my throat, but it allowed me to survive. I’ve known many others since that died within months.
I reward myself with the excitement of many car events, track days, and getting to meet some world-renowned automotive personalities, while also driving some of the best cars ever. But, my deceased WWII and depression era father, who spent 20 years in enlisted service, and on two boats that were torpedoed, taught me to live well beneath my means. I drive an 11 year old, affordable and reliable car. Just recently got out of my 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan, (Car of the Year). Love everything cars, and have many family and friends in all the major automotive companies.
