The irony considering its based in Michigan smh
Have had one for some time, absolutely love ours. I live on the west coast so weather is not an issue. Charging times are very quick and the power and space is above my expectations. No issues noted as of yet other then minor scratches on the paint when we received the truck
The lightnings are awesome if you dont tow/haul and dont need a ton of range.
However, they’re scary to own because of EV market volatility. If they came down to a reasonable price and I knew they wouldnt tank, it would be my daily.
I have given up on owning an EV truck as long as tundras can be had for sub $400s.
…assume you don’t mean 4wd, and/or recently, but if mistaken I would appreciate knowing which part of the country ![]()
Actually i do lol…in northeast there’s a huge thread for the Toyotas lol
What thread? Even @Jrouleau426 doesn’t have 4wd Tundras for $3xx effective again yet.
in $400s…![]()
Even the $500s are better than the overpriced EV trucks lol
My 4x2 crewmax 44k msrp is like 450/mo. 4x4 is gonna start in the 550 range for the $53k sr5. I couldn’t see another dealer in the country being close to those numbers. They have very healthy discounts
FYI guys. I live in a very small rural town and I just bought two ford escapes for work. While there I asked the dealer why he has 16 lightnings and if he’s charging over sticker. He was like that would be a dream come true lol and they’re trying to get rid of them. Its a very farmer area so no electric infrastructure or interest. Might be worth exploring.
The question I have why did you buy an escape over a highlander
Is this rural town near SoCal? ![]()
The charge curve on these is terrible. They are going to really do something on the leases to move them…
Hybrid for employees. Not for me. Price is the key and MPG.
Its in Michigan
Where in Michigan? For the right lease price, I would love to have one and I’m in SE Michigan.
Anyone who purchases an EV is playing with fire and needs to be aware that this type of stuff can happen at any moment.
It will happen with the Mach E as well. Give it a few days-weeks.
Oof that destination charge though.
I have yet to see a good Ford EV lease here.
