Ok looks like chargepoint isn’t free lmfaooooo,

It’s used for payment I guess like visa or Mastercard for charging but only free on electrify America and Mercedes own chargers for us Mercedes owners. Dam confusing. Sorry y’all.

PlugShare had me confused, it called the Mercedes chargers chargepoint for some reason.

Did buc ees stop there plan of building more mercedess chargers? I talked to a manger and he said they might have cus the ones they have never gets used unlike the Tesla ones, also I was wondering in partnerships like this and even with ones with Starbucks, who is paying for building the chargers? Mercedes or the retailers?

If you’re curious to learn more, this hour long video talks about Mercedes’ ambitious plans for building out a charging network in N. America. The executives in this video go into detail about what they’d like to implement over the coming years.

Has anybody picked up the new GMC Sierra EV yet, seen one for discount for 9k off sticker, but dont know if thats dealer discount or rebates

That looks like something from Tron or BattleZone

Most dealers seem to still be trying for ADM on them. Hummer EV is going to be a better lease because of more discount and higher residual.

Has anyone charged a porsche taycan with a benz wallbox. Im trying to make it start charging after 12am. But its not successful, im starting to dislike this charger, and regret not installing the wallbox pulsar hardwired.

With the new administration coming in, will the incentives for EVs go away? Might be a couple month window before the 7500 credit is history.

Everything possible. If that $7500 will go away all brands need to adjust their msrp for plug ins and EVs. LoL.

Yes more than likely it will go away. on the bright side it probably does not matter for EV leases. If there is no demand at 300-400 for 100k MSRP, it won’t change. There still be no demand so existing inventory is likely to be heavily discounted regardless

Something that benefits Tsla will probably remain.

Elon is not going to hurt himself. He is looking for nice return from his red investment. :sunglasses::stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

There is certainly demand for the cheap EV leases. It is a matter of the dealers willingness to play ball and the consumer being informed; the general public will always consist of the average buyers. For example, Mercedes isn’t exactly advertising “come get your jellybean for ~$400/mo”. It would change for this community, in terms of hacking & potential unicorns.

I’m not necessarily a diehard for Elon, but he didn’t get to where is his now by making dumb decisions.lol

It will be interesting for sure. Automakers already have to slash their MSRP’s as it is, whether we are looking at ICE or EV. I think Jeep just announced another cut earlier this week on the W & GW’s.

Incentives & rebates wont go away till almost every house hold will get a electric vehicle. Theres people out there afraid of going to EV thinking their gonna be stuck with no power on their way to their destination. Not everyone loves driving EV because they wanna save the planet, its because their soo cheap its hard to pass up. And once you tilt, your gonna like it and not wanna go back to ICE. 10-15yrs ago goodluck leasing a 150k car for 700 a month.

The MSRP/value ratio could be argued until the end of time lol. We could slap a $100k sticker on an equinox ev and allow it to lease for $200/mo, but are you REALLY leasing a $100k car?? This is what we are seeing with a large amount of vehicles these days.

Answering my own question, looks like undoing the Inflation Reduction Act which powers the incentives would require 60 votes in the senate… even with the majority, that’s not going to happen. But solar and EV charging stocks are getting killed today while everything else soars.
