Nice attitude you got there, however, charging to 100 and keep it at that charge level in your garage seems like a good recipe to have a house fire. But hey, screw the bank & dealer right.

Interesting, will look into it more, first time hearing 100% battery causes fire

It wasn’t the 100% it was just a faulty battery , heck even 50% could’ve caused this. Similar to the Bolt, it wasn’t the 100% it was the bad battery workmanship.

Did she sue the dealer? Also whose insurance will pay here? I just bought my house and ummm well I don’t want it to burn lol, I’m still in middle of renovating, fuck haven’t even lived in it since I bought it.

So it been 1 week and my chargepoint charger broke already, most worthless ev charger ever and when I looked into it other have had to change 3-4 them in a single year just because of the WiFi component. When it can’t connect to WiFi it becomes a brick, so stupid.

Anyway I’m going to get the grizzle e and see how that goes. screw getting high tech charger that can brick if it doesn’t connect to internet.

Warranty???

Satisfied with my pulsar wallbox.

Na, I’ve read people have to wait 3-4 weeks to get their replacement and then it will break down for the same WiFi component every few months. Not going to deal with it.

Just going to charge using a less smart charger. I honestly don’t need all the bell and wistles.

Wow, this may be the worst EV lease economics I’ve ever seen in the LH calculator on a BEV or PHEV.

Hi current EV drivers. I’m starting to look at EVs as I try to find the right lease deal for me. I drive ~80 miles per week on average and in my current car I only put 10k miles in 2 years. I was wondering though how do you feel about performance in the depths of winter and the heights of summer? Does battery life and charging time get a lot worse?

Yes, but at 80 miles per week it won’t matter.

Performance is fine and honestly more predictable in a BEV. In the cold just like an ICE car a BEV needs to precondition to give optimal performance.

I installed the 240volt ChargePoint Flex model to the outside wall of my house. Despite heavy Florida storms and heat, it’s been working perfectly for a year now.

It’s not the cold/rain that kills it, the machine it self is built tough except the stupid WiFi component, that once it brakes forces the machine to only charge in your preset schedule with no way to access the machine using your phone again unless you go through their customer service which from what I’ve read on all the reviews takes 2-4weeks.

It’s like they spent all their money on every single other component except the WiFi component then made the system reliant on it and that’s it’s Achilles heel.

I’m happy yours been working fine, I’m just not going to risk it since I had bad luck week 1

I guess you’ll charge once a week instead of once every 2 weeks?

Lmfaoooo

Correct me if I’m wrong plz,

I have free 30minute chargepoint charging through my EQS suv for 2 years.

I can charge for free at chargepoint and electrify America as they are partners or something using the rfid card my dealer gave me with my car.

I recently read that Evgo is also partner with chargepoint and can use each other rfid card.

Does that mean I can charge at Evgo lvl 3 for free same as I have don so at electricity America and chargepoint?

Have you tried this? Pretty sure you can’t charge for free at Chargepoint.

My rfid card says chargepoint on it and came with chargepoint brochure,My dealer said both are free and Mercedes charger I charged at in Royce city said chargepoint on map and when I used my rfid on it.

ChargePoint give these out to everyone that create an account with them. Even I have one. You’ll still have to pay though.
