Over the last couple weeks I have been looking at options for my next lease. To date I have been focused on EVs. I have looked at and test driven BMWs (iX, i4 M50), Porsche (Macan EV), and Audi (e Tron GT). Oddly, my favorite drive was the Macan EV but I didn’t like it enough for what it would cost to acquire. Today I drove the eTron GT and really enjoyed it. I was initially hesitant to try it out given I need to squeeze two booster seats in the back, but based on what I could see I think there was sufficient space. Wife’s Model Y would definitely remain the preferred kid hauler, though.
The dealership has some new 2024s but also have two demo returns (one GT and one RS GT). I didn’t really run my own pricing yet, but according to the dealer the GT demo is “around $700k monthly for 24 months with just drive-offs”.
I have the money factor, residual, and rebates for the new 2024 but how should I think about target discounts on new and demo cars? Also I would imagine the MF and residual are different for the 2023 demo. Curious if anybody else has been poking around these e tron GTs lately.
I test drove an e-tron GT last month and loved it. The acceleration is insane! For the demo, maybe ask about any wear and tear? Also, check if the warranty is affected. Not sure about exact discounts, but demos usually have some wiggle room.
Thank you! I will take a look through the marketplace to get a better feel for the pricing available from brokers. Is there any rule of thumb for discounts one should expect on a demo car? I believe the GT has just under 10k miles and the RS has 6k.
trying for a RS right now… South Florida dealers don’t live in reality! lol lmk if you got anything I am ready to pull the trigger my current Etron GT is on month to month rn.
So my current one is a 12month least at 799 a month. I called AFS let them know that I am unable to find a car to my specs and want to extend my current lease. They extended it at the same monthly payment. I believe you can extend up to 6 months.
reach out to Sean @ Offstickerprice.com, he got me into an RS for a really good rate recently. I’m in Sarasota, FL, it can be shipped to your house from the area dealers he works with.
After going back with several Florida Audi dealers, I gave up, they jack up MF and discounts aren’t enough to make up for the difference Sean can get you. It’s no wonder they are sitting on the lots 200+ days.
