Bahaha, man that’s dense. A deal such as discount on MSRP is an EXTRA that you’re getting - and it’s possible that you don’t get this at all. The comparison I did was an apples to apples comparison to show that the Tesla as a car gives you a lot more for what you pay than the other cars. If dealers are then forced to cut prices to move inventory then that’s a sign that their cars are overpriced - proving the point I’m making.
And even then, go make a few calls and you’ll see. It matters which region you’re in too - so far I haven’t found an attractive deal in WA/PNW for Hyundai’s and even for the i4 the deals I’ve found so far are all from SoCal and that adds an extra shipping fee along with other headaches like how to return the car after the lease is done. The quoted numbers also include random optional rebates such loyalty which may not apply to everyone and that makes the numbers automatically go up. I did my homework before making an argument, did you?
Also it seems like this argument is never gonna end. Good luck to you.
Yes, of course you completely ignore the part about the deals bring non existent in my region or having extra fees/discounts removed for the general public. I do have to remember that this is the Internet and there will be keyboard warriors xD
Agree. Ioniq 5 styling is an acquired taste, the interior looks odd(always say no to a two spoke steering wheel). The exterior of ioniq 6 is barf inducing.
Not sure how is deal removed from general public. This forum and marketplace is public. Not like I had to be some special guy to get the deals. Washington is pretty close to California, even if you ship the car over it might still be a good deal. Actually, it’s not that bad even to fly down and drive the car up yourself.
Just being helpful trying to let you know there’s deals out there that can let you get an i4 you want at about the same price as a model 3. I don’t really care if you ignore what’s out there.
Honestly I would only take an i4 over Model3. To get a comparable i4 you need to add Prem pack, Park assist, Ventilated seats…minimum. Then you are working with a $58k msrp.
Yep agreed which is why I’m looking for one. And yeah it’s effectively premium package + parking assistance + dapp (compared with fsd).
The shipping ones I found so far have a $1000 fee. I’m thinking about structuring my own deal based on the numbers I’m seeing here and reaching out to a few BMW dealers in my area to see if they’ll bite.
For the specific cars I’m looking at (Ioniq 6 and i4)?
Regardless, at the end of the day we’re all trying to find good deals for the cars we want. The latter is as important as the former. YMMV is a thing for a reason.
My GenZ kids think it’s dumb too. Does anyone actually use it? I mean other than the 1 time after they get the car just to see it in action. I can’t imagine so.
