That’s why Bolt 2: Electric Boogaloo was “announced”. ![]()

Got the email today that 9/6 is the date I can submit my order request for Blazer EV. MSRP starts at $56,715 for 2LT (only option available is sunroof for $1500), RS AWD is $60,215 and RS RWD is $61,790. Don’t think I’ll proceed even at MSRP unless Chevy makes the lease very attractive and I doubt that will happen.
Canceled my order. Fighting for my refund now. Still considering the Silverado EV. Confirmed I’m at the top of the list at my dealership for that one.
My Silverado EV reservation still says $39,900, but I don’t think that one is happening at all. Might be the same with the Blazer.
You are a lawyer you can eat the $100 no problem
I need that cash back for my next LH-fueled stupid car purchase.
At least it’s not hydrogen filled.
(did I do that right?)
Any dealers doing discounts? I can’t imagine many will pay MSRP of around $60k for this.
I’m guessing reservation can be transferred only until order request is submitted to dealer.
Yeah I requested my $100 refund. With so many quality discounted EVs now this will be a tough sell.
I think @AutoCompanion was discounting orders though, if this was something you wanted.
A little bait and switch going on with GM’s EV launches. At this rate I expect the $30k Equinox EV to be $40k at launch.
Comparing it to the ID4 Ioniq it’s 10k more for no reason…
I had a $100 deposit on a Silverado EV and $100 on a Sierra EV.
I cancelled my $100 on the Silverado, and it took an insane amount of effort to get the $100 back. I had to file a complaint with the local attorney general that GM and the local dealership were violating 16 CFR Part 435 (aka mail order rule) around timely refunds of deposits/pre-order payments to get the local dealership to comply.
Contacting GM and a regional Chevrolet Sales manager was pointless. GM simply said independent dealerships make their own decisions around pre-order refunds. Based on how BS GM has made this experience, I cancelled the $100 on the Sierra too.
The only worst thing you can do with these EV deposit monies is to give US Bank $5,000.
Looking forward to trying to get my deposit back. Cancelled reservation after getting a peak at build options yesterday.
Unless you really hate Tesla, no idea who’s going to buy this at nearly $10-20k more than a MY. Decent rebates and pricing on the ID.4 and Ioniq as well.
Not sure what leadership at GM is thinking but they’re going to act surprised when they can’t move what’s effectively a plebeian SUV priced at $60k. Especially when their competitors are priced less and the economy is in the toilet and about to get worse.
