When you reserved your EV under the GM umbrella, the GM website sent your $100 and lead-gen information to a dealership that you selected (probably the closest one to your address).
So the $100 is in procession of that dealer. And that dealer must process your reservation cancellation.
If you are having trouble contacting the dealer, you can reach out to GM’s EV concierge, and they’ll try to cancel the $100 deposit on your behalf by contacting the dealership for you. EV Concierge (1-833-EVCHEVY).
Lol no joke, I tried to get $100 back for a Silverado EV. I simply could not get anyone at the dealership to return my calls. They would say “everyone is in a sales meeting” and then never call me back. Or I’d leave a message with the general manager (since no Sales Manager could access reservations) and of course no general manager is going to waste their time over $100.
I even had someone on the phone go “it’s only $100 … why don’t you just like forget about it and wait for the car to come out?”. Having any interest in a GM product will go down is a pretty dumb auto-decision in my life. Buying 2 Teslas are the dumbest decisions of my life.
Go to manage your blazer ev reservation on gm site. Log in using reservation number and email. There will be a cancel your reservation on the bottom. Once you complete that, dealer “should” refund your $100 in 7 business days.
keep after them. a lot of people have had trouble getting their refunds. mine took a few calls to corporate for both the blazer and the silverado.
Now that these are at dealers, doesn’t seem to be a huge hit. Many dealers have their first units just sitting there. What happened to the big group of reservation holders?
Just about every unit on autotrader is over $60k. Why buy this over the Lyriq? $60k for a Chevy Blazer is a tough pill to swallow.

I called Chevy over the weekend, the rep was going to call the dealership directly on Monday. No refund yet.
Just got off the phone with the Chevy EV concierge line (1-833-EVCHEVY)
Rep said since I placed the order last year and cancelled this year it would be the dealership I placed the order with that would cut me a paper check back.
She put me on a brief hold to call the dealership but since it’s only 8am here on the east coast there was no one there yet. She said she’ll follow up with the dealership later today and would give me a follow up call/email to let me know the status.
So yeah, if you ordered last year like me, it’s the dealer who’s going to issue the refund.
Yeah, this is why I also submitted the event to the FTC since GM and its dealer network collectively do not seem to be able to comply with 16 CFR part 435 (aka the Mail Order Rule). Once GM and the dealers start getting hit with federal scrutiny and fines, their behavior will improve. But for the time being, they DGAF since it’s “only $100”.
Worth keeping a Silverado “First Edition” reservation? At the rate we are going it will be out in 2030 and cost $300k.
I’ll start making the calls in a few weeks.
