BMW Leasing Wiki

I’ve decided to buy out my current lease (term ends in June).

Why wouldn’t I just buy this out now and save the $435.31 (I’m assuming this is rent charges they would no longer realize because I’m buying it out early)?

Outstanding Balance is just the sum of the three remaining payments.

The car is registered in Ohio, and I paid the sales tax on the sum of the payments up front. Sales tax shown on the payoff statement is [ local tax rate x the residual ].

:point_up_2:

Seems pretty straightforward, but wanted to ask one more time before I pay this thing off (three months early).

Am I missing anything?

Has the money factor increased again for March 2022 or is it still at .00136?

Now its .00158

By the time you finish school, you’ll wish it was this cheap again.

Anyone extended a bmw lease lately?
How does the process work?

Just call BMWFS and ask to increase lease length. They will do 2 months without any issues. Longer extensions are possible if you have one on order.

Paraphrasing what I received in email from bmw:

For disposition fee to be waived, bmw gives you 12 months to lease or finance another bmw, mini or rolls Royce or if you have an active account with bmw, mini or rolls Royce financial services.

The unused mileage credit can be used for a lease or finance of bmw, mini or rolls royce made two months prior and up to six months after lease turn in.

To be eligible for the Unused Mileage Loyalty Credit, you must return your current BMW with at least ten percent of the total allowed mileage unused. You must also finance or lease your next BMW, MINI or Rolls-Royce with BMW, MINI or Rolls-Royce Financial Services within two months prior to or six months after the return of your current BMW. Once the details of your new account are received, a credit of up to $300.00 will be applied to the new account within the first two billing cycles.

² Your disposition fee will be waived if you or another member of your household lease or finance a new BMW, MINI or Rolls-Royce with BMW, MINI or Rolls-Royce Financial Services within 12 months of your termination date, or if you have any active account with BMW, MINI or Rolls-Royce Financial Services. The disposition fee amount may vary based on state guidelines.

Everything I see says you need to lease/finance another within six months to have the disposition fee waived…

Correct. Returned mine yesterday and clarified the 6-mo timeframe.

The 12 months was from a BMW email, are you saying they made a mistake?

And you confirmed this 6 month time frame with dealer or bmw financial?

No, I’m not saying they made a mistake, but perhaps you did? Post the email you got. Loyalty is 12 months but dispo is 6 AFAIK

I copy and past the fine print of the email, it says 12 months to waive disposition fee, that last paragraph with the “2” in the footnotes of email.

Hmm not sure why. BMW notes 6 months here:

Huh, I asked about getting mine waived on the BMWFS chat and they said six months (I returned last February, bought a new one in January of this year, so was hoping to get an unexpected $350).

We’ll then I’m stumped!

Would be nice if this works… I just emailed BMWFS with this screenshot asking them to refund my disposition fee from last year!
