Best Full Size Truck Lease 2022

Understood. Have you found any Chevy dealers willing to discount? There are a few Ram dealers doing 11-12% under MSRP which would even the price out.

So far, my experience with Chevy and Ram has been similar. Both MSRP, but they have dealer adds like paint protection etc. The only Ram dealer with inventory has $3k in add-ons and because they are “tangible” items, not too much room for negotiation.

There is supposedly dealer cash available on both and it seems like the Ram ones are higher but then you have to negotiate and I haven’t been able to find a Ram “internet salesperson” who will only deal in numbers.

I’m also leaning toward diesel over the eTorque hybrid because of reasons I stated before so that widens the gap between the Ram and the Chevy.

On an ordered Ram I’d be under invoice in Socal and I use Chrysler Capital, US Bank, and Ally

If you can wait on an ordered vehicle, not sure your location, but there are a few brokers on here offering under invoice on Ram’s. Even if you have to ship the truck, would still be substantially cheaper than MSRP.

Edit** as in Jeff’s post just above, didn’t even see that.

That’s the issue… don’t really want to wait for the uncertainty of an order (got quotes of 3 to 6 months)

We have a leased vehicle I’m trying to unload as it’s done in a few months and with offers right now that are just above break even, I’d rather do that sooner than see what it’s going to be like in a few months so that’s why I have to deal with local dealership inventory (and their markups).

But knowing that brokers can get you orders under invoice is good information as most dealers are at MSRP on orders. We will probably be shopping again in 3-6 months (for an EV or a sports sedan) so I should be looking into that now.

Any chance anyone has this available on north east?

What are payments like on 0 down on ram?

What is best deal on crewcab/crewmax 4x4 full-size these days?

Well… I guess this is cautionary tale in using regular salespeople.

Called to finalize numbers, sales person was out, didn’t get a call back from his manager. Called someone else and they told me the truck was being sold as we spoke.

I’m mad because I spent so much time setting this up and even lining up buyers for my lease… oh well.

Yeah, the build times vary wildly. I ordered my Rebel 11.15 and build date is scheduled for 2.14. Can expect delivery in early March so roughly 5 months. I am at almost 20% under current MSRP though so that helps with sting of waiting.

Thanks Jim. Will do. Would Be looking for lower end 4x4 crewmax sr or sr5. Thanks!

Have them too. Issue is the lower sr5 trim is only $40/mo less or so. That $40 or $1300 over the lease term gets you a ton of options. Leather, larger screen, offrd or sport premium package, prem audio etc

If a Bare bones truck is what you need then just get the sr…

That’s an interesting point to think about. Will def be in touch. Seems like tundra is only decent lease for full size going!! Would be nice to be back in a Toyota. Crewmax 4x4 will be diff than the Camry I had. Lol.

Even with markups, it looks like the 2022 Tundra may have the best lease based on the Toyota brokers posting here. From what I’ve seen, it’s the high residual as the big 3 are in the 58-61% range for 36 months while the Tundra is more like 70%+. Maybe a Leasehackr can confirm this.

I’ve decided to wait this out to see what the 2022 Silverado looks like as safety features become standard and the redone interior seems pretty good. Maybe the hybrid Tundra.will be out by then too although I’ve read there isn’t really any significant MPG savings. Too bad Toyota doesn’t do diesel.

Agree Tundra looks like the winner. Need 3 across car seats so it looks like a tundra. Almost same price as the gladiator. If only taco or frontier would work for me!

I’ve had 3 RAM 1500s. Test drove them all & nothing compares. Last one I leased was a 2021 Laramie fully loaded with eTorque. Awesome truck. Worth it to pay a few extra bucks for a superior truck.

What’s a few extra bucks. Low 500s for a Tundra vs mid 700 for a ram is a big diff. Plus better chance to have equity at end with the Toyota. And I love the ram btw

I love Toyota and was close to pulling the trigger on a 2022 Tundra but started reading about issues with the turbo. It scared me away for now, whether or not that issue is widespread, until there is more information.

I’d understand holding off if you were purchasing, but if it was going to be a lease, does it matter?

Im at around 600 with most options checked for a Laramie order (hk, 12 in ch screen, advanced safety). Got hit with a price increase too. It’s not tundra level but the conservative residual and low mf means good equity at lease end.
